Research And Exploration On The Creation Of Great Wall Themed Landscape Paintings

This paper examines the research,exploration and practice processes of landscape painting creation with the Great Wall as the theme.Firstly,with the Great Wall as the theme,this paper analyzes landscape painting development and artistic expression.Thereafter,this paper summarizes and explores the ancient Chinese paintings depicting the city,along with the modern representative works of the Great Wall landscape painting and artistic characteristics.Secondly,it elaborates the author's exploration process in relation to the Great Wall subject landscape painting creation,including the conceptualization of the topic,the technique exploration and other associated activities.The paper focuses on the reasons behind this creation to absorb and draw on the artistic expression techniques of folk landscape prints.It further analyses and studies in detail the artistic expression techniques of folk landscape prints and attempts to uncover the commonality between traditional Chinese landscape paintings and folk landscape prints,as it will lead to better integration of the two.Through the practice of creation,the paper concludes that the development of Chinese painting should be based on the inheritance of fine art tradition to innovate.
