Jorge Luis Borges is an important Argentinian litterateur of 20th century,his writing style as well as his thoughts and ideas make deep influence to following literature creation.His works involve in many different literature types,including novel,poem,prose,and literary criticism,among which novel makes the most profound impact.Borges'novels are series of collected short stories,these novels have been called Labyrinth Novel,except for many metaphors in them,and meanwhile the spatial narrative style appears in those novels.This paper uses text analysis combined with related literature to do some research on Borges novels,on the basis of theory in A Study of Spatial Narrative by Long Di-yong,try to make a deep analysis to the spatial narration characteristic of Borges'novels.This paper divides into four parts,the first part is the introduction,which to introduce Borges life and his mainly achievement,literature review and reasons to select this topic.The second part is the analysis to spatial time forms of Borges novels,to demonstrate the spatial characteristics of cyclic time and nonlinear time in his novels.The third part is the analysis of spatial structure and plots in his novels,aiming to the analysis of three spatial characteristics,they are nested layer structure,juxtaposition structure and circulation structure.The forth part analyzes the multi-dimensional narrative space in his works,including physical space,social space and psychological space,to further explain the role of these spaces in his narrative.
