As an international novelist of Japanese-born and British-origin,Kazuo Ishiguro occupies an unshakable position in the history of contemporary British novels as "three heroes of British immigrant writers".The awarding of the 2017 Nobel Prize for literature made Kazuo Ishiguro recite a honer in the world literary circles.As an international novelist with the experience of cross-cultural migration,own experience and spatial experience,making Kazuo Ishiguro pays special attention to the world issues,especially the overall spatial survival status of human beings after two world wars,economic crisis,scientific and technological revolution and globalization.The exploration of these important historical time and space events is hidden in his novels,which inevitably contaminates the narrative of the novels with spatial characteristics and forms a unique spatial narrative.This thesis takes the full-length novels written by Kazuo Ishiguro(7 in total)as the research object,and studies the spatial narrative characteristics of Kazuo Ishiguro's novels from four aspects: the causes of spatial narrative,spatial narrative structure:space form,spatial representation in spatial narrative:space and figure,the significance of spatial narrative.The specific research and analysis are based on the three representative works "A Pale View of Hills","The Remain of the Day" and "Never Let Me Go".The full text has three parts: introduction,main body and conclusion.Introduction: it mainly introduces Kazuo Ishiguro and his creation,presents the research status of Kazuo Ishiguro's novels at home and abroad,introduces the phased achievements after space enters the field of literary research,and points out the significance and methods of this paper.Main body: divided into four chapters.The first chapter studies the reasons for the formation of spatial narrative in Kazuo Ishiguro's novels,including his growing experience as a child and his wandering experience as an adult,Kazuo Ishiguro's international writing pursuit and the novel creation concept of preservation and progress,save history and past,promote human historical society and self-development.Kazuo Ishiguro's writing style in which space marks memory and time.The second chapter studies the spatial narrative structure of Ishiguro's Novels: spatial form.The spatial narrative structure presented by the narrative structure of Ishiguro's Novels: spatial form: Chinese boxed,orange petal and circle as the specific researchobject.Taking three representatives as examples,the paper classifies and discusses the spatial narrative structure characteristics of Ishiguro's novels.The third chapter studies the spatial narrative representation of Ishiguro's Novels: spatial presentation is the spatial characters and typed space constructed by spatial narrative construction.At the same time,combined with the specific space theory of heterotopia,the third space and the compression of time and space,by the characters in the space,the paper analyzes and summarizes the meaning of the physical space involved in the seven novels,and discusses the representation of the space narrative in the three representative novels by analyzing the specific space writing and character shaping.The fourth chapter studies the aesthetic reading of the text created by the spatial narrative of Kazuo Ishiguro's novels,and the cultural significance of the space,including the self-examination under the spatial imprint,the identity positioning in the construction of the spatial order,and the poetic dwelling in the interaction between the space and people.Conclusion: summarize the characteristics and significance of the spatial narrative of Ishiguro's novels,explore the recording space of the spatial narrative of Ishiguro's novels,reflect the world,provide a picture for the construction of human spiritual space and the allocation of social space,provide spiritual support for the realization of "poetic dwelling",and highlight the space of modern novels represented by Ishiguro's novels The era mission and universal value of narration.
