A Research On The Artistic Form Of Jiangsu Tongdong Folk Songs

In national culture ballad has crucial functions of spreading local culture and reflecting current social situations.The ballad types in Tongdong of Jiangsu province are especially abundant and diversified.Whatever categories— Haozi,folk songs or ditty do highlight virtually unique cultural customs of Tongtong ballad,vivid and lucid images as well as sincere and deep emotion.However,under the circumstance background in increasingly developed era,people's labor standard and quality of daily life have continually improved and labor tools and ways gradually mechanized and the whole economic development also presents modernization pattern.The music forms as selling tune,work song and paddy songs have gradually disappeared in historical stage as well.As accelerating process of rural urbanization,local songs including Haozi,folk song and ditty in the east region has gradually replaced by various pop songs.Whereas,based on the view angle of macro level,all of music types' fruits that present multitude possess is accumulated by generations of predecessors bit by bit.Even though currently the most popular music's plenty elements also stem from traditional ballad culture or even adapted according to ballad stories.Thus it can be seen that Tongdong ballad always takes a special and important position through the whole music development history and remains indispensable art value.Thus,the purpose of the thesis is that by studying ballad's art forms in Tongdong area,it would bring to the forefront of academic world to this region's ballad culture.This thesis illustrates historical origin and evolution of ballad in Dongtong of Jiangsu Province,analyzes its geological environment and civil environment and generates the development condition of ballad in Tongdong of Jiangsu province.Based on above,this paper systematically and deeply illustrates the art forms of ballad in Tongdong of Jiangsu province and collected and classified the main types.From a number of angles as musical form,mode,melody,dialect,song and words of a ballad,the paper illustrates music characteristics of ballad in Tongdong of Jiangsu province and explains Tongdong ballad based on the angles of literature feature.Additionally,the paper elucidates aesthetic value and cultural connotation embodied by Tongdong ballad.Last but not least,the thesis mainly discusses the historical culture that inherits ballad in Tongdong of Jiangsu province and looks forward to its prospective development trend.
