On The Editing Of Character Documentaries

The documentary of the character is a major type of documentary.The development of the story and the depiction of the character rely on the accumulation of materials in the previous period,and it is inseparable from the elaborate arrangement of the later period.Post-editing is crucial to the birth of a documentary.This article mainly takes the graduation work documentary "TMT" as an example.It first sorts out the relevant research on documentary films at home and abroad,expounds the importance of the post-editing of documentary films,and points out that the details of plain life are dependent on editing,while editing can handle ethical relationship.It explains the origin of creation,creation ideas,planning and post-editing ideas of "TMT",and summarizes the editing logic of the character documentary based on my own creative practice and the theoretical research of the predecessors,and points out my special thinking about the "real"of the documentary of character.We should make a balance of long shots and montages to express "real".It creatively proposes that poetry,painting,music and other art forms are emotional expression of characters,which is a poetic expression.
