As one of the indispensable and important roles in Sichuan opera,Wusheng inherits the achievements of traditional opera culture,integrates the regional characteristics of Bashu culture,and forms aesthetic arts with multiple forms,from the pre-Qin period of martial arts,the Tang Dynasty of song opera,the Yuan and Zhengdan operas,the birth of legends in the Ming Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty.The development of Wusheng's character image has undergone a long evolution before it gradually takes shape.This paper describes the overall shape features and singing art of Wusheng in Sichuan Opera through visual symbolic language.So what is visual symbols? Visual symbols for the author to inquire about the relevant information to understand that: from the opera aspect,actors' dress and action belong to symbolic phenomenon,actors' body language and face painting belong to symbolic language,art is a part of human symbolic language,symbolic form of behavior and thinking is the characterization of human life.Visual perception is the human perception of all things outside,and it obtains important information.We use the way of thinking of visual symbols to convey the emotions expressed by the characters to the audience.Visual symbols can transform emotions into things perceptible to the audience through the form of expression.In a drama,a person or a thing has a specific meaning,just as language is customary,not arbitrary,and highly stylized.This paper will introduce the content of the article from the following,discuss the aesthetic characteristics of the image of Wusheng in Sichuan Opera in visual symbols,and try to innovatively express it with new media technology combined with the shape and elements of Wusheng in Sichuan Opera.In the main content,the author elaborates through four chapters: The first chapter narrates the historical derivative sources of Wusheng's character image,inherits the integration of pre-Qin Wu Dance,Tang Dynasty Damian,Song-Yuan Zaju and Ming-Qing legends,which contributes to the formation of Sichuan opera Wusheng,synthesizes the germination and evolution of Sichuan opera Wusheng,and elaborates the standardization of Wusheng character image and the analysis of visual symbols for later articles.In the second chapter,the visual language of Wusheng's symbolic image features is analyzed.According to the visual symbolic language of Wusheng's costumes,makeup,shoes and hats and accessories,the different features of Wusheng's variousshapes are distinguished,and the unique local image art of Sichuan Opera is interpreted.In the third chapter,the aesthetic characteristics of Sichuan Opera and the symbolization of the overall shape of characters are used to base on the nature of Wusheng's image.Local characteristics,from the implication of clothing,the symbols of facial makeup and the local features of changing face,conform to the aesthetic characteristics of Sichuan Opera and standardize the localized aesthetics of Wusheng's sculpture;Chapter IV describes the present situation of Wusheng in Sichuan Opera and the inheritance of culture and technology,looking for rich cultural details of Sichuan Opera: Shu culture,Chongqing culture and Wunuo culture,displaying the strong charm of Sichuan Opera's artistic culture.By synthesizing the analysis of visual symbols in the previous chapters of Sichuan Opera Wusheng's sculpture,standardizing its sculpture,and integrating with the application of modern new technologies in local arts(fighting,spitting fire,changing face),new media(combining Sichuan Opera with film and television)and other aspects(new media APP,entertainment of variety arts),the feasibility bridge of Sichuan Opera in the new era is constructed,which truly endows the image of Sichuan Opera Wusheng with practical value.To sum up,the conclusion is that the discussion of the overall shape of Sichuan Opera Wusheng can not be separated from solid cultural background and semiotic theory.The combination of the shape elements of Sichuan Opera Wusheng and new media has value function.Its artistic connotation is the embodiment of the local characteristics of Sichuan Opera.The aesthetic characteristics of the local characteristics embody folk customs.According to the current survival predicament of Sichuan Opera Wusheng,we should innovate it.We try our best to solve this problem,make use of technological innovation of modern new media,the value of the role image of Wusheng in Sichuan Opera in the market and the problems to be solved,and make an inquiry into drawing silk and pulling cocoons.We try our best to inherit and preserve the uniqueness of Sichuan Opera with our modest efforts.The innovation of this paper lies in: During the study of Sichuan Opera Wusheng,the author finds that many scholars who study Sichuan Opera mainly focus on the vocal,literary and facial art of Sichuan Opera.Few scholars interpret the character image of Sichuan Opera Wusheng through semiotics or artistic anthropology,and extract its plastic elements by interpreting and discussing the image of Sichuan Opera Wusheng through visual symbolic language.Combining with the application of new media in all aspects,we can provide reference value for future art design,new media art and so on.We also strive to transform this living fossil of Sichuan Opera into a living fossil full of spirit.It can be used by various industries in the society of high-speed operation of science and technology,and drive Sichuan Opera forward steadily,enduring and shining constantly.
