In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,it was a period of low and embarrassing development of Chinese figure paintings.It was left out by the Song and Yuan literati paintings.At that time,there were very few painters who wanted to save and revitalize the development of figure paintings,and Chen Hongshou was one.There is such a great painter who has the power to return.On the basis of inheriting and expanding the traditional classical painting art,he presents the characters with high ancient charm,super-excellent and lofty,the lines are rigid,round and delicate,the atmosphere is elegant and quiet,and the ancient and dredging artistic style is presented.In the Ming Dynasty,the field of figure paintings in which “the mountains and the waters are full of doubts and no way” opened up a new situation of “There is always light at the end of the tunnel”.Taking Chen Hongshou as the research point of view,this thesis attempts to reveal the performance characteristics and creative modality of Chen Hongshou's character painting lines,in order to explore the deeper implication of Chen Hongshou's figure painting lines.This thesis first attempts to investigate and sort out Chen Hongshou's artistic life,and analyzes the characteristics of Chen Hongshou's use of different stages of painting thoughts.Furthermore,collecting and collecting,categorizing and analyzing the works of his existence,combined with the image to explore the artistic charm and aesthetic orientation of Chen Hongshou's figure painting lines in terms of squares and circles,revealing the linear square and circle of Chen Hongshou's figure paintings.The graphic style is the most suitable for expressing the feelings of the heroes and the tenderness of the female characters.Why does Chen Hongshou's figure paintings show the linear art language of this kind of square and circle? The author puts Chen Hongshou into the whole social background and characteristics of the times in which he lives,from his traits,extensive teachership,profound education and fortitude and character as the starting point,and explores the reasons why his characters are drawn into squares and round art.Finally,it is located in Chen Hongshou's role in the history of Chinese painting.He discusses the influence of the lines seen in square and circle in his figure paintings on later generations.
