Through the quantitative analysis of textual data and taking the compositions in the Chinese Interlanguage Corpus of Sun Yat-sen University,this paper describes and analyses the anaphora situation of foreign students at the middle and advanced stages,explores the specific acquisition of anaphora by Chinese students at the middle and advanced levels.Among the 122 texts collected in this paper,there are 785 cases involving thirdperson pronouns as anaphora,of which 646 cases are used correctly,with an accuracy rate of 82.3%.Among them,the third person pronouns have the highest correct rate when they form prepositional phrases,and the lowest correct rate when they act as subjects.There are 139 errors in the use of third-person pronoun anaphora,the error rate is 17.7%.Among them,the number of type I errors is 101,accounting for 72.7% of the total errors,which is much higher than that of type II errors.According to the research,we also find that: the error rate of third-person pronouns anaphora is high;the situation of third-person pronouns anaphora "overuse" is more serious;when using third-person pronouns anaphora,zero anaphora has the most errors;when using third-person pronouns anaphora as subject,reflexive pronouns have the most errors;Rules of use are one of the factors affecting third-person pronoun anaphora.The main causes of errors are inadequate acquisition of target language rules,overgeneralization of target language rules,negative transfer of mother tongue shortcomings in teaching materials and teaching.
