Research Of Aresnal Workers Living In Chongqing During The Anti-japanese War

The Chongqing region became the center of weapons production in the Rear Area during the period of Anti-Japanese War.This importance is not only reflected in the large concentration of weapons production institutions,but also in the ability,scale and types of weapons industry production.At present,the academic research on the arsenal in Chongqing during the period of AntiJapanese War is concentrated on the internal migration of arsenal and the development of arsenal.There is relatively little research on the living conditions of arsenal workers in Chongqing during the Anti-Japanese War.This article takes the arsenal workers in Chongqing as the research object during the Anti-Japanese War,based on the mining of the original unpublished archives,reference to the compilation and related materials published,trying to clarify the process of entering the arsenal of workers and how to produce and live in the factory during the period of the Anti-Japanese War.I hope to deepen the understanding of the academic circles of the arsenal workers in Chongqing during the Anti-Japanese War.Chongqing Weapons Repair Center,established in 1928,is the earliest arsenal in Chongqing.After a period of development,the weapon industry in Chongqing has entered a stage of rapid development.During the Anti-Japanese War,the southwestern region has become a major component of the Rear Area.Some arsenals moved from the eastern coast to Chongqing.In addition,the National Government Corps of Arms received the adaptation of the original arsenal in Chongqing.The Chongqing area has become a gathering place for the arsenal of the Kuomintang area.The progress of the war has promoted the development of the military industry in Chongqing,and the number of arsenal workers in Chongqing is growing.Workers working in arsenal in Chongqing area are widely distributed.The arsenal not only has students who graduated from the military school and the art training class,but also recruited ordinary civilians from neighboring areas to act as workers.In general,the basic quality and knowledge level of arsenal workers in Chongqing are relatively high compared to workers in other industries.During the Anti-Japanese war,workers working in the arsenal in Chongqing have long working hours and poor working conditions,and they are prone to diseases.But compared with industrial workers at the time,they had a higher salary.At the same time,the arsenal called for the service of the war,and improved the production efficiency of the arsenal while cultivating the spirit of the war of the workers.The effective way for arsenals to manage workers during wartime is militarized management and spy agencies.This practice allows workers to keep the secrets of the arsenal and ensure the stable production of the arsenal and better contributes to the victory of the war.Constant inflation during the period of Kuomintang area has spurred arsenal to continue to increase service spending on workers.As a result,workers are able to enjoy benefits that are not comparable to those in other industries.However,internal differences between workers in the arsenal have led some workers to be at risk of employment and death,and the survival of some workers is still very difficult.The war brought about the instability of life,which made the marriage and family life of the workers in the arsenal of Chongqing area face many difficulties.The issue of marriage for single workers remains a difficult problem that is not easily addressed in front of workers and managers.And because of the large family population and inflation in the market,the burden of family life is not very light.Arsenal is also in order to reduce the pressure on workers ' lives,so that workers can participate in the production with peace of mind,and constantly make some efforts.In order to meet the spiritual needs of workers,the arsenal offers a variety of entertainment options for workers to use to spend their spare time.Arsenal has always prohibited workers from tainting bad habits,with the aim of ensuring that workers are disciplined and that the work of the arsenal is carried out smoothly.Some workers still can't get rid of the bad habits like gambling and smoking,which has caused damage to their physical and mental health.During the Anti-Japanese war,the workers of the arsenal in Chongqing have overcome many difficulties and carried out the production of anti-Japanese war as far as possible,and have made great contributions to supporting the victory of the Anti-Japanese war.
