KOTO was introduced to Japan from China in the 7th century of the Tang dynasty(618-907).The Tang dynasty(618-907)was the most prosperous period in Chinese history.Japan was deeply influenced by the culture of the Tang dynasty.In China and Japan,the "zheng" originated from the same family,and different cultures with their own national characteristics emerged in different historical backgrounds and development.The inheritance of the koto in Japan is carried out in strict accordance with the jiayuan system,which is an important guarantee for the legitimacy of the koto.This paper explores the music "Wind and Rain" is by the Japanese composer Minoru miki creation of the Japanese zheng music."Wind and Rain",a combination of "Under the White Wind" and "A Squall",is two short pieces of music in the collection "Ballades for Koto" composed by Mr.Minoru miki for the Japanese "Koto",which belongs to the "Summer" subset of the collection.In this paper,the author will conduct a detailed analysis and research on the author,creation background,national characteristics,musical form,tonal scale,comparison between Chinese and Japanese performers and performance characteristics of these two pieces of music,so that the Guzheng players can have a more accurate grasp of the Japanese zheng song "Wind and Rain" through this paper.
