Today,with the diversified development of Chinese oil painting art,contemporary artists combine western oil painting art with traditional Chinese painting to seek a way with strong personality consciousness and suitable painting style to express their feelings and their understanding of the world.The same is true of expressive oil painting artists.While considering what to paint,expressive oil painting artists should also consider how to display their own painting style.However,this requires the artist to subjectively transform the objective things,and ultimately practice the effect on the picture of the work.Expressive oil painting pays attention to the expression of the artist's inner subjective ideas.Its expressiveness is not only reflected in the artist's spiritual and emotional expression,but also in the transmission of color language.Color language is one of the main characteristics of expressive painting.The use of color in expressive oil paintings is the result of the artist's objective experience gained through the accumulation of emotions in daily life and natural things,combined with the emotional color that he wants to express,which is processed and reproduced in his mind.When the oil painting color language through the painting history process of various styles,schools and aesthetic trends of thought,with different ways of expression,it becomes more diverse.This paper is based on the expressive oil painting in contemporary painting,focusing on the color language in expressive oil painting as the main line,to explore contemporary painting,and based on the author's series of creative implementation.Nowadays,there are various forms of painting,no matter from themes or painting techniques,which emerge endlessly.The diversified development of painting methods just shows that oil painting has a great space for development and rise.This paper makes a series of research on the form of color language in expressive oil painting,which is divided into four parts: the first part is an overview of the development process of expressive oil painting,from the beginning of expressive oil painting to the development of expressive oil painting and the realistic significance of expressive oil painting;the second part is an analysis of the specificcharacteristics of expressive oil painting color language.From the strong subjectivity,appeal and color as a means of artistic expression and the different artistic styles created by different tones,this paper elaborates the painting characteristics conveyed by the color language.The third part is the exploration and application of the expressive oil painting color in the author's creation,from the initial picture composition to the choice and creation process of the picture tone.The selection of painting skills,and finally the embodiment of the virtual and real effect;the fourth part is in my creative process,I think about the color language of expressive oil painting,from the concept of the screen to the final finalization of a series of process of thinking,as well as their own efforts in expressive oil painting,and hope for the future.
