A large number of studies have shown that the improvement of students' oral proficiency is very helpful for the improvement of students' language ability,and it is also an important indicator to measure students' language ability.However,spoken language is a relatively weak part for the most students,and they often cannot express their thoughts in English.The reason for this phenomenon is that students often pay too much attention to the scores in the context of exam-oriented education.They spend a lot of time in writing to practice the grammar,and ignore the important function of a language: speak.Therefore,how to improve students' oral ability has become a problem that needs teachers to solve.With the introduction of picture books,they have received more and more attention in primary school teaching.Among them,the repeated picture book is a kind of picture book,and its biggest feature is the repetitiveness of language.They offer more possibilities for improving students' oral proficiency.A large number of studies have shown that picture books have a positive effect on the development of students' language,and the research on repeated picture books to improve students' oral ability is rarely mentioned by experts and scholars.This study aims to explore the impact of repeated picture books on students' oral proficiency.The research questions are:(1)What's the effect of repeated picture book on students' oral proficiency at primary school?(2)In which aspects does the repeated picture book influence children's oral proficiency ?(3)What is the students' perception of repeated picture book? And dose the correlation exist between students' perception and their oral proficiency?The main findings are as followings: repeated picture books have a positive impact on improving students' oral proficiency;2)Repeated picture books are good for students to master target sentence patterns,improve oral fluency and language organization ability;3)Students have higher recognition of repeated picture books.And students' recognition of oral proficiency is significantly related to their oral proficiency.This study shows that primary school students can promote their language through repeated picture books,especially the development of spoken language.In addition,repeated picture books can enrich the content of English class.
