Research On Application Ability And Upgrade Path Of Mandarin Of Yunnan Wa Nationality From The Perspective Of Linguistic Communication

China is a multi-ethnic and multilingual country,ethnic minorities are inside the ethnic language as an important tool for their communication.The language situation in China based on complex national Mandarin as the national language can effectively meet the needs of communication between peoples to a great extent.At present,although the population of ethnic minority areas in China is relatively small,there are still nearly 150,000 people who do not understand the national common language.Especially in Yunnan Province,"the directly-entering-socialism ethnic groups" regions,people's popularity of Mandarin is very low.In addition,the problems of poor information exchange,single economic structure and difficulty in linking up with modern society in Yunnan Province also make the poverty level of people crossing ethnic areas deep and wide.Language has economic value.Many scholars believe that only by mastering the national common language can the poor obtain more employment opportunities and labor benefits and improve their education level.This study finds out the popularization of Mandarin in Wa nationality areas,and to a certain extent,it can provide a reference basis for the promotion of Mandarin in Wa nationality areas,and help Yunnan to lift the language out of poverty and promote social development in Wa nationality areas.Guided by the relevant theories of sociolinguistics,linguistic statistics and linguistic communication,this paper adopts the methods of sampling,questionnaires and interviews to select Gaduo Village and Longnai Village,in Cangyuan Wa Autonomous County,as survey sites.Meanwhile,This paper probes into the status of Mandarin application ability,Mandarin identity,media and information communication of the Wa ethnic group directly across ethnic groups.It also used SPSS 19.0 to analyze the data,and the cross-correlation between the survey data and social variables in sociolinguistics.Only in this way can we explore the relationship between the status of Mandarin of Wa nationality and its social variables,and find outthe problems existing in the ability of Mandarin of Wa nationality to use Mandarin.The survey found that in Cangyuan Wa area,the overall application ability of Mandarin of Wa ethnic group is low and the quality needs to be improved;Mandarin has the highest use rate in primary and secondary schools in Wa ethnic area,while it is still low in other places;the grass-roots staff of village committees in Wa ethnic area have weak awareness of Mandarin as a working language;Wa people use Mandarin to communicate with foreigners more frequently than with native people,and most of them have negative emotions about using Mandarin to communicate with native people.On the whole,the Wa people are very supportive of the promotion of Mandarin and have a high degree of recognition.In view of the above conclusions,this paper elaborates the causes of the problems in detail with the theoretical framework of linguistic communication.Finally,it makes a comprehensive plan for the promotion path of Mandarin in Wa nationality area from four aspects: the main body of communication,information,media and environment communication.
