Study On Bureaucratization Of Native Officers In Northeast Yunnan During Yongzheng Period

Bureaucratization of native officers is a means by which the central government manages minority areas in southwest China.Realizing direct control of the country's jurisdiction by removing the Tusi,Realizing the state's direct control over the territory of chieftain by removing chieftain.Essentially,it is to achieve the "unification" of the state power.During the reign of Yongzheng,E'ertai was appointed by Emperor Shizong of the Qing Dynasty,travel to Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces to preside over bureaucratization of native officers against ethnic minority areas in Southwest China.The scale and extent of this operation are unprecedented.Although Northeast Yunnan is not the starting point of this action,it is a key point,scholars of later generations also have much controversy about this action.The geographical location of northeastern Yunnan is very important,if there is turbulence,it will lead to harassment in the three surrounding provinces.So the Qing government attached great importance to the management of this area.As Governor of Yunnan and Guizhou,E'ertai has been planning its actions in this area.Full preparation made the implementation of E'ertai's action plan go smoothly.But he did not expect a large-scale Tusi rebellion to take place when the whole territory of northeastern Yunnan was basically realized.The achievements of previous efforts in E'rtai have basically gone to naught,it also changed his perception of the means of action.In the process of counterinsurgency,E'ertai massacred on a large scale,it created a terrible atmosphere for the society at that time.Based on the above understanding,this paper chooses Northeast Yunnan as the research object,Study and sort out the bureaucratization of native officers in northeastern Yunnan during Yongzheng period.It mainly includes three aspects:First,from the political,economic and social aspects,the necessity of taking action in northeastern Yunnan is discussed.Secondly,combing the specific process of Yunnan Northeast Action during Yongzheng Period,focusing on the stage and repetition of the process.Thirdly,it studies the aftermath of Yongzheng's actions in northeastern Yunnan,and looks at the management of northeastern Yunnan after the actions from the specific measures taken by the Qing government.
