Wang Ermin(1927-),a native of Zhoukou City,Henan Province,is a famous contemporary historian,a researcher at the Institute of Modern History Academia Sinica in Taiwan and a representative of the Nangang School.The research field is very wide and the result is quite abundant.Mr.Wang Ermin's historiography research is full of historiography consciousness and historiography self-confidence.This paper probes into Mr.Wang Ermin's historiography research from the perspective of historiography consciousness and historiography confidence.his inheritance of Guo Tingyi,Sha Xuejun,Liu Guangjing and other teachers' traditional methods of history has highly recognized the traditional historiography and derived the national self-confidence.He admires the tradition,takes the single concept as the center of the research path,attaches importance to the non-mainstream,and the language expression is full of characteristics,which shows the style of his historiography research,and highlights the impact of western learning.The historical consciousness produced by the decline of traditional historiography and the prosperity of modern historiography;The rational orientation of his view about historical materials and his understanding of the historical subject show his historical purport,and call on the historians to take on the responsibility and form the discourse system of historiography in their own country,so as to establish the self-confidence of historiography.Through the discussion of Mr.Wang Ermin's historical research,and then enhance the mainland academic circles for the understanding of Taiwan academic circles,which will also be beneficial to the further development of cross-strait academic.
