The Study Of People-to-People Exchange Between Yunnan And Thailand Under The"One Belt And One Road"Initiative

In modern international exchanges,people-to-people exchange is indispensable and the driving force for state-to-state relations.After the "One Belt And One Road" initiative was put forward in 2013,the importance of people-to-people exchange was further highlighted.People-to-people exchange have strengthened the social and public opinion foundation for the construction of the "One Belt And One Road" initiative and promoted the mutual understanding between China and countries along the One Belt And One Road.This paper mainly adopts the literature research method and historical analysis method to study people-to-people exchange between Yunnan and Thailand under the "One Belt And One Road" initiative.After more than five years of construction and under the "One Belt And One Road" initiative,Yunnan and Thailand have achieved remarkable results in economic and trade cooperation and achieved multi-path and multi-level development in people-to-people exchange.Yunnan and Thailand have unique advantages in people-to-people exchange,but there are also many problems caused by cultural differences in practice,including cultural conflicts,negative effects brought by some media communication,conditions for international exchanges to be improved,and crimes.At the same time,the cooperation between the two places is faced with various challenges,including the uncertainty of Thailand's political situation,factors of great power interference,Thailand's cognitive differences on the "One Belt And One Road" initiative,and non-traditional security threats.Therefore,Yunnan and Thailand should strengthen communication and consultation at the official level in the context of the new era,tamping the folk foundation of people-to-people exchange between Yunnan and Thailand,Strengthening the construction of people-to-people exchange mechanism,so as to promote mutual understanding and integration and provide continuous positive energy for the development of China-Thailand relations.
