In the new international situation,China actively promotes the establishment of“the Belt and Road” that is the international cooperation and win-win new mode and continues to promote the construction of human destiny community.Burma plays an important role in the development of international cooperation of “the Belt and Road”.The ethnic Chinese in Burma occupuies an important position in Burmese population and economy.However,due to some historical and political reasons,the ethnic Chinese in Burma had been subjected to unequal political treatment and social status in Burma and Burmese Chinese education has also been restricted by Burma national policy.Although the Burmese Chinese have inherited and maintained Chinese traditional culture,they had gone through the historical turbulence of the Burmese Chinese society,and they has been influenced by Burmese culture.What is the current situation of the ethnic Chinese in Burma to identify with Chinese traditional culture? Besides,the author found that there are various differences in the Chinese traditional cultural identity of the Burma Chinese students in the international Chinese teaching,and there are few related studies on the Chinese traditional cultural identity of the Burmese Chinese in academic circles.Therefore,the identity of Chinese traditional cultural among Burmese ethnic groups should be of great concern at present.In this paper,79 Burma Chinese students who are from 4 universities in Yunnan province were investigated to investigate and study the current situation of Chinese traditional cultural identity among Burma Chinese students in universities in Yunnan province.First of all,on the basis of consulting relevant documents and theories,the author clarifies the ideas and contents of this investigation and study.Then,on the one hand,by using the way of questionnaire survey,the paper is from the cultural symbol identity,cultural identity and cultural values identity three dimensions to carry out the investigation and study.To understand and analyze the basic information of 79 Burma Chinese students who are from universities in Yunnan,their currentsituation of identity with Chinese traditional culture and the differences and characteristics of their identity with Chinese traditional culture in gender,grade,Chinese generation,families' and friends' attitudes towards Chinese traditional culture,self-identity,and the time of learning Chinese in Burmese Chinese schools.In addition,the paper also explores the correlation between their identity of Chinese traditional culture and their Chinese proficiency;on the other hand,by using the way of interview,we further explore the influencing factors of Burma Chinese students' identity of Chinese culture in universities in Yunnan,and the results show that the four factors of country,society,family and school have certain influence on the identity of Chinese traditional culture of Burma Chinese students in universities in Yunnan.Finally,based on the survey results of questionnaire and interview,the author starts from the aspects of Chinese language education in Burma,Chinese international education in universities in Yunnan and Chinese teachers to puts forward some referential suggestions to strengthen the identity of Chinese traditional culture of Burma Chinese students in universities in Yunnan.It is hoped that this investigation and study will contribute to the targeted teaching of Burma Chinese students by Chinese teachers,contribute to Chinese language education for the ethnic Chinese and the international education of Chinese,and also provide some references and suggestions for strengthening the identity of Chinese traditional culture among ethnic Chinese ethnic groups in Burma and the spread of Chinese traditional culture.
