The Intellectual Youth's Troop-Join Movement And The Campaign Of Yunnan-Burma(1943~1945)

This thesis concentrated on the relationship between the Intellectual Youth's Troop-join Movement and the Campaign of Yunnan-Burma during the later part of the Anti-Japanese War(from 1943 to 1945).In author's opinion,there is a relationship of complement each other between the Intellectual Youth's Troop-join Movement and the the Campaign of Yunnan-Burma.On the one side,National government started the Intellectual Youth's Troop-join Movement because of the requirement of the Campaign of Yunnan-Burma in 1943,and launched the movement of “One thousand youth,one thousand forces” in 1944;On the other side,the Intellectual Youth's Troop-join Movement made a great contribution to China and Allies' victory of the Campaign of Yunnan-Burma,it also developed into the section of the movement of “One thousand youth,one thousand forces”.So,the author decide to analysis the characteristic of Chinese military modernization during the WWII,based on the prepare of the Campaign of Yunnan-Burma,the first and second section of Intellectual Youth's Troop-join Movement and their influence,the course of the Campaign of Yunnan-Burma and the general situation of the “Chinese Youth Expeditionary Force”established in the last part of the Anti-Japanese War,in order to make a further stuy of the Anti-Japanese War and WWII.In author's opinion,the Intellectual Youth's Troop-join Movement was an effort of modern Chinese intellectual in order to save the nation from subjugation and ensured her survival.Relatively speaking,it got success in military area.The Intellectual Youth's Troop-Join Movement improved the quality and the figure of the National Revolution Army,strengthened the power of the Chinese troop,and contributed a lot to the victory of the Anti-Japanese war.It also shocked the traditional onion of “A good man is not a soldier”.
