Discipline And Resistance-Analyses Of Crime And Punishment From Foucault's Perspective

Dostoyevsky and his representative work Crime and Punishment have a very important position in the history of world literature,and compared with the works of contemporary writers,Crime and Punishment not only reveals the dark side of society but also a layer of philosophical thinking and interpretation.To think about discipline and punishment from Crime and Punishment,it has to involve who is the sinner and who will carry out punishment,and this also involves punishment and being punished,discipline and being disciplined.In the Crime and Punishment,punishment is not only on the physical level,but also on the spiritual level.The essence of every character in the story is a rebel under the discipline and domination,and the most classical philosophical theory of discipline and resistance is Foucault's theory.The theory of the power is elaborated on the formation and manifestation of discipline in detail.Foucault and his theory of authority have a very important position in the history of French philosophy.From the theoretical perspective of postmodernism and relativism,the micro power theory,while the post-modern philosophy combines the concept of political science,points out that the discipline in fact can not be regarded as a kind of entity,but a series of methods and techniques,which use some subtle techniques and procedures to discipline and control the people.Based on this understanding,this paper is aimed at analyzing the procedures about discipline and resistance in the works from the perspective of Foucault's philosophy,and through the analyses of the process of discipline and resistance,get new understanding and interpretation about the existence of modern individuals.This paper mainly includes six parts: the first part,mainly explores the reasons and significance of this research,domestic and foreign research status to lay a solid theoretical foundation for this research;In the second part of this paper,Foucault's micro power theory is analyzed,compared with the traditional power view,and found the difference between the two theories,as well as the theoretical value of Foucault's micro power view;In the third part of this paper,the author will explore and analyze the emergence of the micro power in Crime and Punishment.From the analysis of the discipline ruling of ruling class to the analysis of male discourse power,and to the Christian spiritual discipline analyses,the author will analyze the main discipline performance in Crime and Punishment.In the fourth part of this paper,the different forms and methods of characters' resistance to discipline in Crime and Punishment will be analyzed,and the resistance of the leading character,as well as the female resistance to the male will be accurately interpreted.In the fifth part of this paper,on the basis of the previous research,the author will analyze the development of people in the perspective of discipline and resistance from the macro overall level of the work,and discuss the comprehensive development of people with the right to discipline.In the last part of this paper,the author will summarize the whole paper and turn the perspective back to reality to discuss the rights of modern discipline and the development of modern people.Through the analyses of this paper,the author aims to enhance individuals' comprehension of Crime and Punishment and strengthens the in-depth understanding of the characters in Crime and Punishment.At the same time,it may have some significance to understand the social and cultural life in other parts of the world.
