"Building Road to Chengdu and Chongqing" is a documentary about recalling the construc-tion of the first railway in New China.It records the hard course,living conditions and inner feelings of the migrant workers and the PLA for the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing Rail-way.The whole film takes the narrative clues of the migrant workers who built Chengdu and Chongqing in that year as its narrative clue;takes interview lens,empty lens as its picture lan-guage;fills the picture with simultaneous sound and commentary.It constitutes the whole docu-mentary.It shows the arduous course of hard work and hard struggle of road builders represented by migrant workers and their pride in the construction of the first railway in New China.The director deeply analyzed the significance and theme of the documentary "Building Road into Chongqing",as well as the relevant film and television theory analysis.It explains the whole pro-cess of the documentary from pre-planning,mid-shooting and post-production.By listening to the language,the arduous road-building process of the migrant workers is merged into the docu-mentary pictures,and the oral history is combined with the documentary images,so that more people can understand the history of road-building in that year,and increase their sense of histor-ical identity for the successful construction of the first railway in New China.
