A Comparative Analysis On Three Online Machine Translation Systems In C-E Translation Of Political Texts

For the development of the Internet and information technology have accelerated since 20~thh century,ordinary users or translators can effectively overcome language barriers through some online translation software,and grasp the meaning of the original text in a timely and convenient manner.The online translation software is based on computer-aided translation system,which is a branch of artificial intelligence development.How to effectively take advantage of the online translation system,conveniently,fast and accurately improve translation efficiency and quality is the focus of current machine translation research,and domestic related research is still in its infancy.This paper focuses on three most representative online translation systems in China,and inputs the original text of the political text The Report on the Work of the Government into three systems,with the National Translation Service Quality Standard as the standard and the official translation as the reference,makes a comparative analysis on the translated text of the system.The research methods adopted in this paper include objective description,classification,data analysis and comparative analysis method.The research process firstly inputs the Chinese text of the selected Report on the Work of the Government into three online translation systems paragraph by paragraph to collect output translations.Secondly,according to the standard and the official translation,the output translation is compared and analyzed,and the error rate of the three online translation systems'translations are calculated and recorded,then the type of error is analyzed.Through comparative analysis,this thesis finally finds that in the C-E translation of three online translation systems for political texts,Youdao Translate system is better at lexical level translation,Google Translate system has fewer errors in syntactic translation and Baidu Translate offers a moderate performance both at lexical and syntactic level.In terms of the overall performance,Google Translate reaches at a leading position.
