The Analyzing “Tongshiyiming” Of The Words Denoting Astronomy And Meteorology In Ancient Chinese

The phenomenon of “Tongshiyiming” has so far always existed in the vocabulary of Chinese,and that of the words denoting entities,known as Mingwuci(the words denoting entities)in Chinese,because of varieties of classification and considerable amount,has also been a focus of Chinese vocabulary research.The words denoting astronomy and meteorology in ancient Chinese resulted from the background of low social productivity and undeveloped technology then,and,therefore,show unique features unlike other kinds of words in Chinese vocabulary for ancestors owing to restricting of the level and capability of cognition.This article discusses these kinds of words mainly from three aspects:First of all,refer to the features of “Tongshiyiming” about astronomy and meteorology in ancient Chinese vocabulary.This part is emphatically focusing on the constitute forms of syllable,semantics and culture.The meaning of those words could correspond with the cognitive result of ancestor to nature.It is not denied that different languages,intentionally,contain the specific mode of thinking for native speaking,therefore,we can in the position believe that “Tongshiyiming” about astronomy and meteorology in ancient Chinese vocabulary have,impressively,such imprints reflecting thought and culture of ancestors in China.Secondly,refer to causes of “Tongshiyiming” about astronomy and meteorology in ancient Chinese vocabulary.To this problem,this part analyzes from three points: different names denoting identical entity originating from cognizing about different subjects,from pragmatics and different signs.This three parts is,simply,not co-ordinate relationship,rather than a procedure of thought mode fixed by language.The last one,refer to cognitive mechanism of “Tongshiyiming” about astronomy and meteorology in ancient Chinese vocabulary.The phenomenon of “Tongshiyiming” can be thought as an external performance of vocabulary form,furthermore,the underlying cause of which is the intrinsic cognitive mechanism possessed by human being.Humans have the capability,who can understand the world from different perspective,that result in different words symbolized via cognitive process by different result of the same things.That is so called “Tongshiyiming”.The non-symmetry between the things and names is owing to the result that human,arbitrary,initiatively,achieve awareness to make a choice of motivation against nature.According to our analyses above,we can get a whole comprehension of the phenomenon of the words,“Tongshiyiming”,about astronomy and meteorology in ancient Chinese vocabulary.
