The development of regional economy puts forward new requirements for the training mode of translation talents.This study taking Xinjiang Economic Zone as an example,puts forward a new mode of training translation talents,which is based on the construction and development of Xinjiang Economic Zone.Based on Perroux's(1955)growth pole theory,this study explores the relationship between the development of translation industry and regional economic growth in Xinjiang.Based on Michael West's(1994)demand analysis theory,this study will explore the current situation of Xinjiang's translation industry and the improvement of the training mode of Xinjiang's University translation talents.The ultimate purpose of this study is to promote the development of Xinjiang's translation industry and promote the growth of regional economy by optimizing the training mode of Xinjiang's translation talents.This study uses the method of questionnaire survey,through the analysis of the collected data to get the overall situation of Xinjiang's translation industry's demand for talents;then,through the questionnaire survey,the author gets the current situation of Xinjiang's translation talents training mode.Finally,through the comparative analysis of the results of the two questionnaires,the author can gets the fit between the market situation and the cultivation of talents in universities and the region that can be improved.The main conclusions of this study are as follows.On the whole,although the development speed of the translation industry in Xinjiang is not as fast as that of the big cities,it still has an optimistic prospect and indeed promotes the development of regional economy.As far as the training mode is concerned,it is generally the same as big cities.However,due to the backward regional economy,most students are still reluctant to stay in Xinjiang for development.There is still a distance between the setting of translation courses and the key foreign language colleges,and the business ability of students still needs to be improved.According to the results of the study,some suggestions are put forward to further optimize the training mode of translation major in Xinjiang,including the selection of teachers,thesis guidance,curriculum mode,etc.
