Researching On The Influences Of Chinese Traditional Art Klimt’s Painting Styles

Gustav Klimt(1862-1918)is a master of painting in Vienna,Austria.His painting style has experienced many changes in his life.The main reasons for these changes are the influence from the outside and the change of his own spiritual world.During the period of new art movement with increasingly frequent cultural exchanges all over the world,Klimt came into contact with the cultures of many countries,including China,so as to know,understand and like them,and embody these cultures in his own painting.It is the influence cultures that gradually formed the unique painting characteristics of Klimt.In these cultures which influence the painting style of Klimt,Chinese traditional culture is an indispensable part.After the spread of the ancient Silk Road and the invasion of colonial expansion,Chinese traditional culture spread all over the world,and in Europe,"China fever" has arisen.Many people imitate the clothes of the Chinese people at that time,like Chinese novels and operas,and play with Chinese art works,etc.The works they like undoubtedly have the artistic characteristics of traditional Chinese art.Their spread has attracted the attention of artists to a certain extent,which has an impact on their artistic style.Naturally,with the spirit of innovation,Klimt has also noticed the artistic characteristics of Chinese traditional art.The Chinese traditional art has an important influenced the painting style of Klimt.This paper it analyzes from the Chinese traditional painting lines,traditional patterns,New Year pictures and porcelain figures,and "clashing color " coloring methods,how they are reflected in Klimt’s paintings.This paper mainly the causes of his painting style and the characteristics of his painting works and Chinese traditional art to demonstrate the influence of Chinese traditional art on Klimt.
