In the digital age,the relationship between literature and games has undergone a new change due to the change of media survival context.Network literature and online games are consistent in the way of media existence,which makes the game become a media subject that can interact with literature in narrative aspect instead of a tool used to deduce literary theory.Studying the gameplay of network literature from the perspective of the relationship between network literature and online games can not only explore the new possibility of literature creation in media interaction,but also draw on knowledge of other disciplines to enrich existing literary theories.This paper adopts a comprehensive interdisciplinary research method,goes deep into the media survival context and consumer social context of the development of network literature,studies the organic and unified features of network literature in text generation and its internal structure,analyzes the aesthetic value of the gameplay of network literature dialectically,and puts forward constructive suggestions on the development of network literature in terms of gamification.The paper consists of three parts:introduction,text and conclusion.The text is divided into four chapters.The introduction introduces the research background and significance of the topic,research status and literature review,research objectives and the structure of paper,and clarifies the research issues of this paper.This paper tries to explore the new possibility of literary creation and promote the development of literary theory by focusing on the narrative interaction between network literature and online games.The first chapter teases and summarizes the conception of "network literature","game" and "gameplay",and makes a clear definition of the research object of this paper,namely "network literature","online games","the gameplay of online games"and "the gameplay of network literature",and limits the research scope of this paper.Network literature and online games are no longer analogically related,but have a deeper behavioral and logical connection.The virtual nature of the network makes literary activities show the characteristics of gaming activities,and the unique online gaming experience affects writers' creative thinking,making the internal structure of the text present the gamified narrative logic.The second chapter analyzes the cross-media narrative interaction between online games and network literature,and clarifies the aesthetic representation of network literature's gameplay.Based on Gadamer's theory of the existence of works of art,this paper makes a systematic study on the generation mechanism of the text of online games and network literature from the aspects of gaming activities and the form of game.The first section discusses the narrative of online games and the reference of game narration to literary narration according to media interaction theory and semiotics of narrative.The second section focuses on discussing the aesthetic representation of the gameplay of network literature,that is,the interactive behavior of language games in the process of text generation and the gamified narrative logic in the structure of text.Based on the theory of social narratology and the study of media interaction,the author explains the significance of communicating interactive behavior in the text generation of network literature,and analyzes the form of game structure contained in the typed text of network literature.The gamified narrative logic in the text structure of network literature is manifested in three aspects,that is,the character setting of "superhuman",the environment setting of "different space-time" or "super space-time",and the upgrading structure of numerical value.The third chapter analyzes the realistic context that produces the gameplay of network literature from the background of social networking,online game experience,socialist market economy and multimedia technology by combining the specific social and historical context.The network provides the medium survival context for the network literature and the online games,making them similar in terms of activity characteristics;As online games and network appear simultaneously,gamified thinking affects writers' creative thinking,resulting in the game logic permeating into network literature;The development of socialist market economy opens up a commercial market for network literature,and capital's intervention makes the interactive adaptation trend of network literature and online games irreversible;The development of multimedia technology makes it possible for network literature and online games to carry out cross-media interaction in narrative.The fourth chapter focuses on the post-modern aesthetic paradigm,and analyzes the aesthetic value of the gameplay of network literature dialectically from two aspects,the external existence form and the internal aesthetic idea.In the form of existence,the gameplay of network literature is manifested in the instant interaction of literary activities and the dynamic generation of texts,and in the aesthetic idea,it is further manifested in the contradiction of value-added content and unbalanced thinking,existentialism and cynicism.This means that while the function of network literature is extending outwards,its literariness is inevitably destroyed.If network literature wants to give full play to its aesthetic value of gameplay,it must take a different development path from traditional literature.The conclusion part summarizes and reflects on the overall research ideas of this paper.In combination with relevant cultural development policies,the author prospects the development prospect of gamification of network literature from the perspective of promoting positive interaction among art types and promoting the overseas dissemination of Chinese stories,and expects that in the future,more researchers will try their best to find a way to realize the complementary development of network literature and traditional literature on the basis of understanding their respective aesthetic characteristics.
