Non-feminism In Yan Geling's Female Writing

Yan Geling is a well-known and influential writer in contemporary Chinese literary circles.For more than 30 years,she has been working hard and has created a large number of literary works with rich themes and won various domestic and foreign literary awards.Female writing is an important theme of Yan Geling' s creation.With her unique vision and delicate brushstrokes,she shows the unique survival experience of women,with her distinctive personal characteristics,which has become a bright color in the female writing of contemporary Chinese literature.However,through in-depth study of Yan Geling's main works,combined with Yan Geling' s interviews about her own expression of feminism and the study of western feminist theories,the author found that there are a large number of non-feminism factors in the creation of Yan Geling,who is good at writing women.It deserves in-depth exploration and reflection.Therefore,this thesis will flexibly use research methods such as text reading method,individual analysis method and comparative argumentation method,combined with the relevant content of feminist theory,from a feminist perspective,to comprehensively interpret and explore non-feminism in Yan Geling' s female writing,and reveal its shortcomings and deficiencies.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this thesis includes three chapters:The first chapter is an overview of western feminism and Yan Geling's'feminism'.This chapter introduces the basic content of western feminism and puts forward the theoretical basis of this thesis,analyzes and summarizes Yan Geling's views on western feminism and her personal'feminism' through Yan Geling' s own views on'feminism',and then discovers the non-feminist factors of her female writing.The second chapter explores non-feminism in Yan Geling's female writing.Combining the main works of Yan Geling,from the four aspects:the image of Earth Mother,love,the attitude of women towards men and female fertility,to examine the non-feminism in Yan Geling's female writing from a feminist perspective,and to elaborate on it and analysis it in detail.The third chapter is comparison with other female writers.Comparing the female writing of Yan Geling with the female writing of Hong Ying and Zhang Jie.Through analysing the representative works of the two female writers to explore the manifestation of feminism in it,and compare it with the female consciousness of Yan Geling,which can further reflect Non-feminism in her female writing.
