In 1999,China began to enter the aging society.China's elderly population had reached 250 million,accounting for 18%of the total population,guangming daily reported on April 11,2019.China was no exception to the growing trend of global aging.On the one hand,with the social progress and development,it was possible for the elderly to depend on their needs.The continuous improvement of the social security system provided a sustainable supply and security for the elderly.On the other hand,the aging society was also facing new challenges.The reality that China's population was gradually entering into "low birth rate,low death rate and low growth rate" was likely to cause various psychological problems,especially for the elderly.Objectively,the decline of demographic dividend and the aggravation of the degree of aging were becoming one of the important issues that needed to be paid attention to and solved.How to motivate the community social support,enhance their psychological capital effectively,make its can keep a good mental health state of the research topic selection basis,this study was based on the group aged 60 and above the level of social support,psychological capital and mental health status surveys,and discussing the effect of different mechanism between relations.In this study,using social support scale,positive psychological capital scale and Kessler 10 scale,400 elderly people aged 60 and above in hangzhou,zhejiang province and jincheng,Shanxi Province were selected for questionnaire survey.Through the case interview,we could grasp the current social support,psychological capital and mental health status of the aged groups in a real and intuitive way.To compile the mental health guide for the elderly to provide ideas for the practice of mental health for the elderly.Based on the literature review,this study adopted methods such as questionnaire survey,case interview,and focuses on the statistical analysis of the data obtained through the survey by using descriptive statistics,independent sample T test,one-way variance,step-up regression,confirmatory factors and other methods.The main research conclusions were as follows:1.Social support,psychological capital and mental health of the elderly were generally in good condition,all above the norm level;At the same time,there were some differences among the three demographic variables,such as region,gender,age,self-care level,pension mode and economic level.2.There was a significant positive correlation between social support and mental health,psychological capital and mental health,and social support and psychological capital.3.Both subjective support and utilization of support in social support for the elderly can have a positive predictive effect on psychological capital,while objective support had no predictive effect on psychological capital;Among the three dimensions of social support,only subjective support can positively predict mental health.Objective social support and social support utilization had no predictive effect on mental health.In addition,resilience and optimism in psychological capital can positively predict mental health,while self-efficacy and hope can not predict mental health.4.It was worth noting that the psychological capital of the elderly played an intermediary role between subjective support and mental health,and subjective social support can directly affect mental health or indirectly affect mental health through psychological capital.Based on the research conclusion and the characteristics of the elderly,the mental health guide for the elderly was designed and compiled to provide practical directions for improving the mental health level of the elderly.
