English writing,as an important part of English teaching,plays an important role in the development of students' comprehensive English ability.Especially for junior middle school students who are learning to English writing at first,cultivating an effective English writing method is very important to improve their English ability.However,according to relevant literature reviews of writing teaching,junior middle school students have problems in writing,they not only have a negative attitude towards writing,but also lack the awareness of writing modification and effective writing training methods.In view of this,the author carried out an action research on the training of process writing approach in seventh grade of junior middle school.By identifying problems and focusing on process writing methods,the aim is to change writing attitude,cultivate writing interest,and enhance awareness of cooperation,so as to improve junior middle school students' writing ability.The action research adopts a research method that combines quantitative and qualitative research,to solve problems in writing teaching,make corresponding plans and implement them.And the specific research questions in this action research are as follows:(1)Can process writing approach having a positive effect on English writing interest and writing attitude of junior middle school students?(2)Can process writing approach improve junior middle school students' awareness of cooperative learning and modification?(3)Can use of process writing approach help junior middle school students improve their English writing better?The specific implementation process of action research is divided into two stages,each stage permeates the sense of cooperation and modification in the teaching of process writing.And adjusting action plans base on feedback and reflection during action research.From the qualitative and quantitative perspectives,and the conclusions of this action research are as follows:(1)The process writing approach changed students' English writing attitude and interest;(2)Through writing training,their cooperative learning ability,as well as autonomous learning ability have been significantly improved;(3)Students' awareness of the revision have significantly enhanced,most students take an active attitude to this approach.Meanwhile,students' writing ability having been improved.The author hopes that this research can have an enlightenment effect on English teaching in junior middle school.Teachers should promptly change the teaching concept of English writing,and strengthen the guidance of writing methods.Adopt the method of more encouragement and less criticism,and flexibly use the process writing approach to improve English writing teaching.Besides,according to actual conditions to make changes and adjustments,the purpose is to improve teaching effect.Although this action research has achieved the expected goals,there are also limitations such as a small number of research samples and a short research cycle.Therefore,whether the process writing approach has a long-term impact on junior high school students' writing needs further research.
