Research On The Application Of Multimedia Technology In Shadow Play Art Display

The art of shadow play has a long history in China.The form of its expression is very unique,which asks performers for more particular requirement.This kind of traditional art has been facing challenging tests in inheritance and development with the huge progress of times and quick-changing fashionable trends.At the same time,the digital information in the design fields offers novel ideas to visual innovation,and also provides new opportunities in reforming the display of the conventional shadow play.Basing on relevant literatures,this study starts with researching display forms of shadow play.After analysing both domestic and foreign cases in which modern display technology is utilised,this research summaries combination forms between new media technology and digital display of shadow play.Based on the theoretical research,this paper tries to design a digital exhibition of shadow play named as “ The Design and Practice of A Digital Exhibition Hall in terms of Shadow Play Art in Xiaoyi,Shanxi”.With the introduction modern digital technology,this study attempts to design a digital exhibition hall of shadow play with quick-transfer information,impressive visual sense,diverse experiences,and interesting interaction.In addition,this study hopes to provide new ideas in transmitting and developing shadow play,especially as a kind of intangible cultural heritage in the new era.
