Female Image Construction In Chinese Female Theme Documentary Since The New Century

This paper focuses on the female images in Chinese female documentary,not only because of the motivation of improving the research of “female images in media”,but also because of the confusion and which caused by the lack of the stereotype and homogeneity of characters in documentary and the construction of equal gender concept.After the World Conference on women held in Beijing,the domestic research on“media female image”has aroused a research upsurge,and then it has entered a low tide and awkward period.However,the performance of “media female image”in the field of documentary has caused the slow emergence of female documentary.In the long history of the development of human society,it is not difficult to discover that women are the reflection of social development,so the construction of female image in documentary film also promotes and develops with the change of society.However,before entering the new century,the mainstream cultural value of the society has always hidden female discourse rights in a way that is clear or dark,bringing Chinese women into the image identification of tragedy.Through the authenticity of the documentary,the audience recognized that the tragic factors of the characters in the film,and unconsciously constructed the stereotype of Chinese female tragedy.Since the new century,with the rapid development of digital technology,China's documentaries have become more and more clear,and female documentaries have gradually refined their depictions of female characters.Female documentaries,instead of modeling female image in accordance with rules and regulations,have turned to an expression of character defects and beauty.Some of them inevitably have conflicts in taking into account family and career It makes women active in documentary with a more realistic image,and this kind of contradiction and conflict is just another kind of expression against the female image.The documentary began to break away from the so-called stylization and show the women in this era more thoroughly.More and more female images broke the traditional thinking expression and were recorded by the filmmakers and remembered by the viewers.Based on the literature research,case analysis and practical creation,this paper,based on the social background since the new century,observes the female images in Chinese female documentary,digs deeply into the construction methods of female images in this kind ofdocumentary,combining with the creation practice of their own female documentary,focusing on the construction of female image and construction effect presentation.This thesis will follow five levels to demonstrates the Chinese female documentary Research on the construction of sexual image.First,based on the basis of the former research,the paper break the definition of female documentary only referring to female director works,and summarizes the development status of Chinese female documentary in the social background since the new century.Secondly,it makes an all-round analysis and explanation of the diversification generative context of female image construction.In the process of image construction in social context and values writing in cultural context,the paper reflect on the homogenization and stereotype of female image construction,the weakening of female status and the lack of importance education in the current female theme documentary.Third,based on the context of female image construction,a large number of female subject documentaries are observed,combined with the innovation of creation technology and multidimensional development of communication platform since the new century,to explore the concept of female image construction in female subject documentaries.Fourth,put the analysis of female image under the narrative strategy of transmitting thoughts,metaphorical emotions and reconstructing facts in the eyes of documentary,interpret female psychology and female emotion with stylized lens and diversified voice,and explore the construction strategy with more tension of female image with narrator,narrative perspective and narrative space.Fifthly,combined with the shooting experience of their own graduation works,the female image construction mode in theoretical research is used in practical creation.Through the creation and shooting,the construction effect under the theoretical construction mode is presented.The combination of theory and practice provides certain reference and more practical experience for the future female theme documentary creators for the construction of female sexual image.
