On The Spatial Form Of Lu Ling’s Novels

The spatialization of novel creation can highlight the development of story in a long time.Space is not only a place for people’s activities,but also an important factor to promote people’s activities.The space scenes depicted in the works create atmosphere,portray characters and express emotions from the details.Lu Ling’s novels focus on the construction of space.The geographical space involved in the novel and the spatial structure formed in the novel creation play an important role in promoting the creation of the characters and the development of the plot.Meanwhile,they also clearly show the spatial relationship of the characters,which shows that the characters constantly break through the shackles of feudal thought and seek the meaning of life.The thesis consists of three parts:The first part discusses the space form of Lu Ling’s novels.In the aspect of physical space construction,the author constructs a single narrative space and multiple narrative spaces.The single space is in a constant space,focusing on increasing the sense of hierarchy and depth of space,and deepening the connotation of the novel in a limited scope.Multiple space is to connect multiple narrative spaces in the novel,and promote the development of the story by juxtaposing or overlapping.The second part mainly analyzes the theme construction of Lu Ling’s novels from three aspects: life,times and culture.Lu Ling’s characters break through the restriction of region and thought,and finally get new life and show the power of life.Lu Ling’s works in different periods present different spatial contents and express different thoughts.Before the founding of the people’s Republic of China,after the founding of the people’s Republic of China and in the 1980 s,the works respectively show the suffering of the times,the struggle of the people and the hope of the future.The cultural space of different regions and the cultural changes of the same space in the novel show the regional and epochal characteristics of culture.The third part is the space aesthetics of Lu Ling’s novels.The conflict of system and thought in the physical space of the novel,as well as the complicated relationship between characters,play an active role in the formation and development of characters character.Space can trigger people’s perception,the construction of novel space can strengthen readers reading experience,and the analysis of space is conducive to discovering the unique beauty of Lu Ling’s novels.The physical space,spiritual space and meaning space of the novel show the inner meaning of the novel from different levels,and break through the limitation of time and space,so as to better understand Lu Ling’s works from the perspective of readers.
