Since the concept of "key competencies" was listed as the key content of the new curriculum standard reform,people began to pay more and more attention to it.Especially the viewpoint of "thinking quality" is the first time to enter the field of education and the public.Combined with the direction of the CPC Central Committee on education since the 19 th National Congress,it can be found that the ability of "educate people" is strongly advocated,and combined with the characteristics of the subject,English also bears a series of important tasks,such as stimulating students' thinking ability,improving comprehensive quality and enhancing moral character.On the other hand,the teaching of language knowledge is still dominant in English class,and the cultivation of students' thinking quality is less stressed.Therefore,how to cultivate students' thinking quality becomes the core problem that this thesis wants to discuss.In this paper,seven senior middle school teachers and students of different levels and types in Hanzhong are taken as the research objects.In the aspect of students' questionnaire,we mainly explore the current situation of students' thinking quality cultivation and the problems found in the training process through students' logical,critical and creative thinking performance.In the aspect of teachers' questionnaire,we mainly investigate the basic situation of teachers,teachers' quality,teaching content,teaching design,teaching methods and models,teachers' questioning models and so on.Through the research,it is found that the quality of English thinking of high school students in Hanzhong is still at a low level,students' logical thinking is better than critical and creative thinking,critical and creative thinking still needs to be strengthened,and there is still a lot of room for improvement of students' thinking quality.After that,the paper further discusses the influencing factor of thinking quality of high school students in Hanzhong.Finally,according to the present situation and influencing factors of high school students' thinking quality in Hanzhong,this paper puts forward some targeted and operable opinions and suggestions from four aspects: teachers,curriculum setting,teaching evaluation and students,so as to help strengthen the cultivation of students' thinking quality,improve the comprehensive quality and ability of English,and constantly improve and help students grow into new era talents who meet the requirements of national training.
