Study On The Vocabulary Of Mian County Dialect

Mianxian is a county under the jurisdiction of Hanzhong City in the south of Shaanxi Province.The dialect in the urban area of Mianxian belongs to the Qinlong section of the Central Plains Mandarin.This article is based on the "Dialect Survey Vocabulary List" and based on field investigations,and the author investigated the Mianxian dialect vocabulary from five aspects,such as syllable,strcture,word-making motivation,vocabulary and special adverbs.And compared with the surrounding dialect vocabulary,the study was proceeded from two ways of synchronic and diachronic.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the geographical and humanistic situation of Mianxian,dialect research,phonetic system,research significance and research methods,as well as the source of corpus and the situation of pronunciation partners.From the historical evolution and geographical location of Mianxian,Mianxian dialect was influenced by the Central Plains mandarin and southwest mandarin,which resulted in a controversial phenomenon in the division of phonology in some areas of Mianxian,and also affected the vocabulary system and grammar system of Mianxian dialect.From the perspective of the study of Hanzhong dialect,there are still gaps in the study of vocabulary and grammar in the surrounding counties.This article used the survey results of the “Chinese Language Resources Protection Project” in Mianxian,which was established and accepted by the National Language Committee of the Ministry of Education in 2018.It explained the research significance,research methods,corpus sources and pronunciation partners.The chapter one makes a statistical analysis of the number of syllables in the Mianxian dialect vocabulary.According to the statistical results,the research found that the Mianxian dialect has the largest proportion of two-syllable vocabulary and the third-syllable vocabulary.The chapter two analyzes the vocabulary structure of Mianxian dialect from the aspects of morpheme selection and word formation.The choice of morphemes mainly starts from synonymous morphemes and non-synonymous morphemes.In terms of word formation,Mianxian dialect vocabulary has rich overlapping and additional forms,which is also a major feature of Mianxian dialect vocabulary.The chapter three analyzes and exemplifies themotives for the word formation of Mianxian dialect vocabulary from the aspects of appearance,smell,color,use of things,composition materials,time and place,rhetoric and euphemism.The chapter four discusses the composition of the vocabulary of Mianxian dialect from three aspects,such as basic vocabulary,inheritance of ancient words,and dialect feature words.The basic vocabulary is universally used,stable,and productive.The ancient words mainly explain the ancient words existing in the Mianxian dialect.Finally,the characteristic words of the dialect expand are states from three aspects,wedding and funeral custom words,labor achievement words and food culture words.The chapter five,firstly,conducts a comparative study of the words of Mianxian Chengguan and Wuhouzhen,and analyzes the differences between the words of Mianxian and Wuhouzhen dialects and the reasons for the differences and similarities.Secondly,the dialects of Mianxian county and Hanbin dialect of Ankang city were compared.The last chapter describes the unique adverbs in Mianxian dialect.
