The study of acupuncture-points' names is an important part of the study of linguistic nomenclature.Based on Jizhou Yang's medical classic "Acupuncture Dacheng" as a reference,this paper counts 355 names of acupuncture-points in the theory of meridian and acupuncture-points of traditional Chinese medicine,summarizes their categories,and discusses the naming reasons of 77 names of acupuncture-points,thus summarizing the naming characteristics of the names of meridian and acupuncture-points of traditional Chinese medicine.At the same time,this paper discusses the reason for the names of the meridians and acupuncture-points in traditional Chinese medicine,and discusses some of the reasons for the names of the different names,which further proves the figurative characteristics of the names of the meridians and acupuncture-points in traditional Chinese medicine.In the course of investigating the theory of the names of meridians and acupuncture-points in traditional Chinese medicine,this paper combines the relevant theories of cognitive linguistics and applies a variety of methods:glyph analysis,homo-logy comparison,body verification,reference of different acupuncture-points,analysis and comparison of different names.Introduction:this paper expounds the purpose and task of the research on the names of meridians and acupuncture-points in traditional Chinese medicine,discusses the research status in.related fields,and focuses on.the writing methods of the paper.Most of the names of meridians and acupuncture-points in traditional Chinese medicine contain figurative meaning.According to the prototype theory in cognitive linguistics,as well as the ideas of metaphor and metonymy,the paper discusses the naming reasons of the names of meridians and acupuncture-points according to the three categories of celestial geography,physical image,personnel and functional forms.Chapter one:the author and edition of the medical classic Acupuncture Dacheng.This chapter briefly discusses the reasons for choosing Acupuncture Dacheng as the reference standard,and introduces the life of the author,the spread and evolution of his main work,Acupuncture Dacheng,as well as the version for reference when writing the paper.Chapter two:general description and species of names of meridian acupuncture-points in traditional Chinese medicine with reference to Acupuncture Dacheng.This chapter mainly includes:the statistics of 355 acupuncture-points names in Acupuncture Dacheng,and the classification of the meaning of these names.Chapter three:investigation of the naming of meridian acupuncture-points in traditional Chinese medicine.This chapter is the main part of this thesis.It mainly includes the definition of "naming rationale".2.Expound the method used to investigate the rationale of the names of meridians and acupuncture-points in Jizhou Yang's medical classics,that is,the relevant theoretical method of cognitive linguistics.3.Discuss the nomenclature of 77 acupuncture-points in Jizhou Yang's medical classics.Nomenclature can be divided into three categories:celestial geography,physical image,human and morphological functions.This part points out the definition and research scope of the names of the meridians and acupuncture-points in traditional Chinese medicine.Chapter four:the typical word justifications that embody the thoughts of traditional Chinese medicine.There are many typical examples of Chinese words that embody the thoughts of traditional Chinese medicine.This chapter will discuss the meaning and usage of some typical Chinese words by combining with the theory of meridians and acupuncture-points of traditional Chinese medicine,and analyze their rationale,so as to show the attention of the theory of meridians and acupuncture-points of traditional Chinese medicine on the cognitive level.Conclusion:This paper summarizes the characteristics of the theoretical basis of the names of the meridians and acupuncture-points in traditional Chinese medicine,discusses the significance of the research on the theoretical basis of the names of the meridians and acupuncture-points in traditional Chinese medicine,and points out the shortcomings of the paper and the direction of future efforts..
