Chinese teaching in Thailand is developing rapidly,Thailand has become one o f the numerous countries to learn Chinese.There are many expatriate teacher,so mu ch research has been done on Chinese teaching in Thailand.However,different level s of economic development in different regions of Thailand led to uneven levels of Ch inese teaching in different regions.There is still a lack of research on Chinese teachin g in economically underdeveloped areas,a thorough understanding of the present sit uation of Chinese teaching in such areas is helpful to the overall study of Chinese teac hing in Thailand.Combining with the teaching experience as a Chinese volunteer,the author make s three schools in Simahaphot of Bachinburi as the object of investigation,and Simah aphot is the central area of Bachinburi,which is a typical case of studying the present situation of Chinese teaching in economically underdeveloped areas.The research of th is paper is based on the actual investigation results,from the students,teacher,teac her materials,assessment,homework,school,management to investigate,showi ng the economic underdeveloped areas of Chinese teaching panorama.Then,accordin g to the information from the class and interview,the auther comprehensive analysis t he present situation of local Chinese teaching,it is found that there is a lack of learnin g atmosphere,student's desire to learn Chinese is not strong,teacher are insufficient a nd unstable,teaching methods are single.And there are many problems in classroom management,lack of professional Chinese teaching material,unreasonable allocation of class hours,unreasonable allocation of teacher and lax examination.These proble ms seriously affect the development of local Chinese teaching and make it difficult for students to make progress in Chinese language.In view of the above problems,the aut her suggests that student should strengthen their determination to learn Chinese as soon as possible and strengthen their communication with teacher.It suggests that teacher should improve the level of Thai language,improve teaching methods,creat an atmo sphere of learning Chinese.Besides,volunteer should develop the spirit of dedication.School should set up professional Chinese language teaching management groups,as k social organizations and the government for help,scientifically arrange classes,de velop or purchase Chinese teaching materials,and attract excellent Chinese teachers.I t is suggested that Thai government should formulate professional standards for Chines e language teacher and formulate a national curriculum for Chinese teaching.The auth or hope that through the study of typical cases to sum up the problems in Chinese teach ing in underdeveloped areas of Thailand,and provide valuable reference materials for the study of Chinese teaching.
