A Study Of Modal Particles In Yicheng Dialect

Based on the investigation of Yicheng dialect,this paper attempts to make a comprehensive and systematic description and analysis of the modal particles in Yicheng dialect of Shanxi Province.It consists of four parts:The first part is the introduction.The introduction gives a brief description of the human geography of Yicheng and the phonetic system of Yicheng dialect,and introduces the object of the study,the source of the Corpus and the research methods.At the same time,the Current Research Situation of Modal Particle is sorted out,the hot topic is discussed,and the modal particle is defined emphatically.The second part,the author classifies the Single Modal Particle in Yicheng dialect.According to the different forms and functions of modal particles,this paper classifies twenty-one modal particles of Yicheng dialect according to the classification standard of modal particles of dialect by Li Xiaofan(1988)and the actual situation of Yicheng dialect.That is divided into State Modal Particle,Interrogative Modal Particle,Modal Modal Particle,Pause Modal Particle.State Modal Particle contain"哎[εi0]","味[εi0]","哩[li0]","滴1[ti0]”,"啦[la0]","啊[la0]",Modal Modal Particle contain "呀[ia0]","咾1[lau0]","奥[au0]","呾[t(?)0]","吧[pa0]","昂[a0],"着(?)(?)0]","哩 2[li0]",“滴 2[ti0]",and Interrogative Modal Particle contain "□[va0]","吗2[(?)0]".Pause Modal Particle contain "睐 2[lεi0]","咾 2[lau0]","吧 2[pa0]","着2[(?)0]On this basis,the usage and function of each modal particle are discussed in a separate section.In this paper,the author mainly uses the method of contrastive analysis to compare the special usage of some modal particles with the modal particles in Putonghua.Because some mood words in Yicheng dialect have similar mood meaning,we will discuss their position difference,mood strength,mood function difference and so on.The third part describes the conjunction of modal particles in Yicheng dialect.By describing the use of four types of modal particles in Yicheng dialect,this paper divides them into two types,one is the use of two modal particles and the other is the use of three modal particles.Through the explanation of the conjunction of modal particles,the new grammatical meaning and function are analyzed.The fourth part is the conclusion.On the basis of the above study of Yicheng dialect,this paper sums up the characteristics of mood words in Yicheng dialect and summarizes the mood system of Yicheng dialect.It also points out the shortcomings of this study and proposes the direction of improvement for the further study of modal particles in Yicheng dialect.
