A Brief Analysis Of The Landscape Painting Of Mi's Cloud Mountain

Mi Fu and his son Mi Youren hold important positions in the history Chinese calligraphy and painting.Their paintings influenced the brushstroke techniques in later landscape paintings.The “Mi's Landscape Painting” created by them features a clear,concise and clean style.The “Mi dots” are used to depict the ethereal beauty and tranquility of regions south of the Yangtze River,and create a mysterious romantic atmosphere.By studying the characteristics of “Mi's Landscape Painting”,this paper explored the profound artistic conception in Chinese landscape painting.The first chapter discussed the external factors that contributed to the invention of “Mi's Landscape Painting” and the reasons they can convey profound messages from the perspective of the living environment and characters of Mi Fu and Mi Youren.The author also proposed suggestions on the artistic creation and cultivation of today's art workers.“Cloud” is an indispensable component in “Mi's Landscape Painting” that created the misty and profound effect for the painting.The expression and construction of “cloud” can directly affect the overall effect of the art work.In view of this,the author made a detailed analysis on the painting of cloud in Mi's works.The second chapter explored the effect of cloud on the artistic expression of Chinese landscape painting by comparing the design and pattern of “cloud” in Mi's Landscape Painting to those in other paintings of previous dynasties.The third chapter analyzed the artistic conception of Chinese paintings and the mystery of Chinese impressionistic painting.By demonstrating the important role of artistic conception in Chinese literature and art from different perspectives,the author made personal reflections on the development of impressionistic landscape painting of current times in combination with Taoism and other philosophical thoughts.The fourth chapter explained how Mi's Landscape Painting inspired my own art creation.Through systematic learning and understanding of Mi's Landscape Painting,my works are further refined with more exquisite artistic conception.
