Comparison Of Linguistic Features Of Different Types Of News Media

We Media and Mainstream Media are the two major types of media,which are distinct and show the opposition between emerging media and traditional media.The difference between them marks as the different ways of language expression first.If we want to research the characteristics of news,the study of the characteristics of language expression is inevitable.At the same time,the prosperity of the transportation has made drivers an important part of people's daily life,and news about drivers has become a hot topic in reports.In this context,the appropriateness of the expression of the news media has clearly become the focus of research that whether the negativity presented by female drivers in the media environment is unique.Therefore,this article is based on the two major media types:Mainstream Media and We Media,taking the specific social role of "driver" as the breakthrough point,and through analyzing and observing the language characteristics of"driver","male driver" and "female driver",to reveal the characteristics of the two types of media and make suggestions and opinions.In terms of specific research methods,we combine the characteristics of statistics and linguistics,supported by the results of data analysis,and through analyzing the internal and external contrasts of the two types of media to find the characteristics of We Media and Mainstream Media,while discovering the differces between news about driver,male driver,and female driver.Through the analysis of this article,we find that,whether in the Mainstream Media or in the We Media,news about driver is mostly related to traffic events of accident sort,and has high negative proportion.In addition,the negative tendency of the overall"ender word+driver" news is relatively strong,and the action that attribute the focus of social events on gender differences lacks an internal justification.At present,the negative image of female drivers has been solidified and attracted public attention,but the negative tendency of male drivers also needs to be paid enough attention.While it is necessary and reasonable to criticize some of the driver's misbehaviors,rationality is important.We shouldn't let the group image deteriorate unchecked.At present,clearing the media environment needs to start from two perspectives of correction and prevention,and control the frequency of negative news,so as to achieve the purpose of balancing news emotional tendencies and maintaining the image of social groups.The standardization of We Media needs attention according to the comparison of Mainstream Media and We Media.The Mainstream Media shows higher standardization in terms of word's meaning expression,structural organization,fairness and objectivity.The words' clarity is higher,and the normative use of punctuation and sentence pattern is stronger,and expression is more objective.However,the We Media shows stronger subjectivity,ambiguity,randomness,which manifested as more frequently and casually use of punctuation and stronger expression of personal emotions.Since the We Media is more interactive and more subjective,it occupies half of the news media.Otherwise,fairness and objectivity are necessary conditions for a qualified report.We media can't casually let the author's personal subjective point of view to influence the facts and to win publicity just in order to attract the people's attention.
