After the emergence of photography in 1838,which had a strong impact on traditional shelf painting,the debate about photographic images and the art of painting had not stopped.In any case,in the process of artists' creation,the use of rich photo resources brings new creative ideas,creative ways and creative habits to artists.Nowadays,artists have become more and more accustomed to using photographic photographs collected through various channels as reference materials for painting creation,and through the re-processing of these materials to obtain the necessary,flexible use in their own creative process.Get rich original photo resources through photography,or "process" them again from It is already a very common phenomenon to become a more artist-friendly painting material.This article does not carry on too much discussion to the image,only from the painting creation material collection angle,discusses the photograph material to provide the platform for the painting creation.The popularity of photography and the rich form of photographs,there are too many potential possibilities for painting,a large number of use of photographic materials in painting has been an inevitable trend,and in this popular trend we should explore the various aspects of photo materials,so this paper also involves the advantages and limitations of photo materials,so it is convenient to use the dialectical attitude of photo materials in painting creation.This paper discusses the application of photos in painting in three chapters.The first chapter briefly combs the early painting material which takes the sketch as the reference,and after the photography appears the painting material source changes from the sketch to the photography photograph.After the oil painting on the photographic photo of the phenomenon of reference analysis,elaborated from my inspiration.The second chapter starts from my own painting practice,discusses the problems I have encountered after applying the photo material,the thinking and practice of using the photo material for painting creation at the graduate stage,and the process of gradually solving the problem.I chose three more representative works during this period to show the reality of my painting How to collect the photo material,how to get rid of the dependence on the photo,and explore the more appropriate painting language and expression for me.The last chapter,based on my experience of using portrait photos for graduation creation,tells more systematically about my methods and ideas when using photo materials for graduation creation,and shows the final results.
