Research On Narrative Of San Yan That Feng Menglong’s Vernacular Novels

As a representative of the collection of short vernacular novels in ancient China,the San Yan that Feng menglong’s vernacular novels is great significance in the development history of Chinese novels,and the narrative art formed is regarded as a model,which has exerted a profound influence on the later novels.This study takes the narrative theory as reference,combining with the history changes of Chinese ancient novel,based on the principle of reference and reduction,trying to sort out narrative context of San Yan,and then from three aspects such as the narrative structure,the narrative perspective and the narrative time to make a comprehensive analysis,hoping to expand its literary meaning and influence on later generations.From the perspective of narrative structure,this study finds that the stories with different themes all take the circular logic of fruit and reward as the core of the whole composition,and through the historical narrative style and the technique of book field structure to echo this kind of narrative core,.the harmony of tao and technology become the main characteristics of the narrative structure of the San Yan.From the narrative perspective,on the whole,the storyteller adopts an omniscient perspective,but within the framework of omniscient perspective,there exists local limits.If the focus of holistic omniscience and local limits belong to the static analysis of perspective;Then,the omniscience synthesis of the text by partial limits is a dynamic flow process of the perspective.From the narrative time,the most prominent feature of the San Yan is harmony of order and change.Order is mainly reflected in the linear time of the story,It is mainly manifested in the clearness of the nodes of narrative time in the San Yan.Both the calendar and the time scale of human culture throughout the text play an important role in the narrative development;The variability is mainly reflected in the narrator’s artistic treatment of the time dimension and flexible control of the narrative rhythm.This order and mobility are harmoniously united in the process of narrative development.More generally,the narrative art of the San Yan,It not only develops the historical tradition of Chinese novels,but also plays a key role in connecting the past and the future,Therefore,it occupies an important position in the history of Chinese classical fiction.This study focuses on the weak links in the study of the San Yan,It is hoped that the narrative research of Chinese classical vernacular short stories will be plentiful through the discussion of the narrative art of the San Yan.
