Application Of Modern Polyphony Techniques In Music Composition

With the development of music in the 20 th century,a large number of composers who are good at using polyphony techniques have emerged.While using traditional polyphony techniques,these composers have actively explored pitch materials,modes,tonality,rhythm,etc.,and formed different creative ideas and techniques,which have made important contributions to the development of modern polyphony music.This article takes the application of modern polyphony techniques in musical works of different genres as the main starting point.On the one hand,it briefly analyzes the technical characteristics of modern polyphony techniques,and analyzes the performance characteristics that constitute the main elements of modern polyphony music;on the other hand,combined with its own creative practice,The application methods of modern polyphonic music techniques in the creation process of musical works of different genres are elaborated.Finally,in the conclusion,the problems in the learning and application of modern polyphony techniques are summarized and considered.From a structural point of view,this article is mainly divided into two parts: In the first part,through the analysis of the modern polyphony thinking and technical characteristics in some polyphony music works or polyphony music fragments of Darius Milhaud,Vaughan Williams,Stephen Michael Reich,Witold Lutoslawski,Gyorgy Ligeti and other composers,the characteristics of modern polyphony music in pitch,rhythm and texture are summarized.The second part describes my application and practice of modern polyphony techniques in the creation of musical works,including the art song "Yong Yule·Kingkou Beiguting Nostalgia",the piano solo song "Fugue" and the chamber music work "Piano Trio" and other different genre forms,This paper mainly uses different techniques such as polyphonic structure,artificial scale polyphony techniques,and Multi beats polyphony technique.Through the elaboration of the creation process of these works,this paper describes the personal thinking process in the process of music creation and the application methods of polyphony techniques.
