This thesis is mainly focused on the research of "micro-polyphony" technique, which was proposed and established byHungarian composer GyorgyLigeti. In this thesis, the writer pursues the writing characteristics of micro-polyphony techniques, combines with the analysis of the large orchestra <Apparitions> and <Atmospheres> by GyorgyLigeti, the third act of ballet <the Confession> by ЭдисонВасичДенисов and<Dancing String>(for twelve Erhus) by Zhou Xianglin, thus to further discuss the application of this technique in writer’s master degree works <Qing Xi>.Chapter1is mainly focused on the background information, including the origin and development of "micro-polyphony" technique, the related works of composers and research status both at home and aboard.In Chapter2, writerpursues the organizations and applications of pitch materials in "micro-polyphony" technique. By means of the analysis and comparation of <Apparitions> and <Atmsospheres> by GyorgyLigeti,and the analysis of pitch materials in the micro-polyphony fragment of <Dancing String> by Zhou Xianglin, writerpactices in her degree works <Qing Xi>.In Chapter3, by means of the analysis ofmensuration canon of Ockeghem, writer summarizes its influence on the use of rhythum in composing techniques of "micro-polyphony". Meanwhile, writer analyzes and discusses the rhythum structure of <Apparitions> by GyorgyLigeti,<the Confession> by ЭдисонВасичДенисов and<Dancing String> by Zhou Xianglin. Writer at the same time elaborates the application of the rhythum in the fragment of "micro-polyphony" in her degree works in detail.In Chapter4, writer focuses on the research of characteristics of composing techniques of the static acoustic in "micro-polyphony" and the influence of the timbre of electronic music on the timbre and acoustics of the works in early20th century. Writer also discusses the different method and effect of composing techniques of "timbre composition" of the four works <Apparition>,<Atmospheres>,<Confession> and <Dancing String> in different paragraphs. Meanwhile, writer reports the result of the tentativepractice of "micro-polyphony" techniquesin her degree works.In this thesis, writer analyzes, concludes, summarizes and studies the "micro-polyphony" techniques by means of the analysis of the pitch materials, rhythum texture, timbre and acoustics of the fragments of "micro-polyphony" techniques in different works, and further pursues the meanings of this techniques in the philosophy of dialectical materialism theory of "contradictions".
