Research On The Influence Of Cultural Differences On Sino-German Bilateral Trade

China and Germany experience different historical backgrounds,and the difference in social practice makes the two countries differ greatly in terms of values,ways of thinking,and even religious belief.These differences not only remain in the cultural field,but also inevitably touch in the trade exchanges between the two countries.With the rapid development of Sino-German trade,the cultural differences between the two countries have become increasingly apparent.It is of great significance to study the impact of cultural differences on the trade between the two countries to strengthen the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.This paper first analyzes the bilateral trade situation and the cultural characteristics between China and Germany.By analyzing the trade volume and trade dependence between the two countries,it is found that there are many conflicts in many cultural factors in Sino-German trade.Among them,the differences in traditional culture mainly include differences in language and differences in traditional cultural ideas.The differences in trade concepts mainly include differences in time concepts and differences in money views.The differences in trade transactions mainly include differences in communication methods and differences in life and consumption views.These differences are important factors affecting the further development of Sino-German trade.Based on the analysis of the current situation of Sino-German trade,this article selects the import and export data of China and Germany from2004 to 2018,uses the WALS index to measure the degree of cultural differences between the two countries,and uses the gravity model to study the impact of cultural differences on Sino-German trade.Empirical tests show that cultural differences affect the trade between China and Germany.Among them,the difference in trade concept will hinder the development of Sino-German trade and make the two countries face many contradictions and conflicts in trade exchanges,and the differences in traditional culture and trade transactions have played a certain role in promoting the development of trade between the two countries.Finally,this article proposes that China and Germany should develop a culture of difference in favorable trade and reduce an unfavorable culture of difference.In view of the differences in traditional culture,this paper proposes that we should fully grasp the characteristics of German language and promote the opening of traditional culture.In view of the differences in trade concepts,this paper proposes to treat the differences in time concept with tolerance,and the way of thinking about money should respect differences.In view of the differences in trade transactions,this paper proposes to improve the processing methods in trade communication and improve the market adaptability of products.
