Research On The Current Situation Of Urban Community Psychological Service

The decentralization of psychological services to the community and the community-based psychological services have been the path taken by western developed countries in recent decades,because they have achieved better results than the traditional model,which has been imitated by various countries.With the continuous improvement of China’s economic level,on the one hand,the available resources of the country are increasing,on the other hand,the needs of the people are also increasing,and the psychological needs are gradually emerging.Therefore,we should also timely develop the community psychological services that adapt to our national conditions.On the basis of many years in the field of mental health development,nearly two years,countries are also put forward in promoting the modernization of national management system and management ability under the background of exploring to establish social psychological service model and working mechanism,which is integrated many kinds of power to the requirement of grassroots community,meet all kinds of the various needs of the masses,play the role of good stable social mentality.The work is still in the pilot stage,and much remains to be explored.In this context,a study was conducted to present the current situation of the development of community psychological services in China from the perspectives of community residents,social workers and social psychological service institutions.The research was carried out in zhangjiawan street,hongshan district,Wuhan city.Among them,a self-compiled questionnaire was used to survey residents The questionnaire mainly includes three aspects:the impression of community psychological service in residents’ mind,residents’ participation in community psychological work,and residents’ opinions on psychological service.A total of 317 copies were distributed in two different communities.Interviews were conducted with community workers and heads of social psychological service institutions.The interview mainly includes the current situation of the work of community psychological services and views on the work of community psychological services.Four community workers and three heads of institutions were interviewed.After sorting out the questionnaire data and interview results,the main results are as follows:(1)Residents are not familiar with the development of community psychological work.In terms of work content,51.7%know that the community carries out publicity through the publicity column,while no more than 30%know about activities,lectures and other work.42.8%of them were not clear about the work frequency,and 46.1%of them were not clear about whether there was a place for psychological work in the community.(2)At the present stage,residents’ demand for psychological services is low,only 3 1.2%of them choose to seek psychological help from the community,40.7%think they do not need psychological services,and 36.3%choose to be indifferent.(3)49.8%of the respondents rarely or never participate in community psychological activities.In the interview,the respondents mentioned that only about 20%of the residents have participated in relevant activities organized by the community,60.9%of them did not have the right time,and 35.3%of them did not know.(4)In terms of expectations for future community psychological services,residents’choice of "popularizing knowledge of mental illness" and "imparting psychological knowledge related to daily life" account for the largest proportion(54.6%and 47.3%,respectively).In the interview,7 interviewees expect that community psychological services can become a part of the daily work of the community.(5)The current psychological services in the community mainly include five aspects,including the popularization of mental health knowledge,which are mainly derived from the addition of psychological services in daily work and residents’ needs.In addition to the existing work,psychological assessment,talent team training,crisis intervention and other 8 tasks are the work that respondents think can be expanded.(6)There is no special post in the community to take charge of psychological service,but people from various departments hold concurrent posts.Community psychological services are also financed from departmental funds without special funds.The service personnel of social psychological service institutions mainly include professional practitioners,university teachers,university students and organizational training personnel.(7)Community work is mainly carried out in three ways:plan system,task system and project system.In the work assessment mainly for activity data inspection,assessment questionnaire,satisfaction survey 3.(8)As for the current difficulties in the development of community psychological services,the common view of the 7 interviewees is the low level of information transmission and residents’ acceptance of psychological services.Respondents Shared the same views on how to solve the problem,strengthen publicity and improve residents’awareness.In addition,four community workers jointly mentioned the establishment of full-time staff.Based on the deficiencies of the current work reflected in the survey,the following Suggestions are put forward:(1)the focus of the work is firstly on popularizing psychological knowledge and building a service team,improving the quantity and quality of psychological practitioners,cultivating more service institutions,and mobilizing community residents to participate in the community service;(2)in the course of work,residents of different ages,genders and incomes should adopt different working methods according to their characteristics;(3)community psychological service work should be designed as a whole,so as to make it systematic and continuous,and to highlight the basic role of community psychological service in the social psychological service system,so as to make an important contribution to the construction of a good social psychological atmosphere.
