Reserach On The Developement Strategy Of Dunhuang Studies Of Dunhuang Academy

Dunhuang mogao grottoes is the largest,the longest,the richest and the most complete of the existing grottoes.Conserved 735 caves with over 2,000 painted sculptures and about 45,000 square meters of wall paintings.In 1900,in cave 17(the Library Cave)of Mogao grottoes,a large amount of Dunhuang litterateurs nearly 60,000 pieces and various cultural relics were unearthed.Ever since the last century many scholars have been paying attention to and studding the art of Dunhuang Grottoes and Dunhuang literature,thereby establishing a new field of study—Dunhuang studies.Dunhuang academy is the professional and the largest Dunhuang studies research institution.It has been established more than 70 years,with a group of scholars dedicated to research on Dunhuang studies.Nowadays Dunhuang academy is exploring how to promote the prosperous development of Dunhuang studies in the new era.Based on practical problems and demands,this paper research on the development strategy of Dunhuang studies of Dunhuang academy.From the perspective of subject development,on the basis of strategy management theory and using PEST analysis method,bibliometric method,SWOT-AHP analysis method.Firstly,statement the mission and vision,analyses the strategic environment including macroscopic intermediate and organization internal circumstance.And then build up the SWOT-AHP analysis model,identify the external opportunities-threats,the internal strategies-weaknesses,calculate the various influence factors weights to evaluate alternative strategies.Through qualitative and quantitative analysis,determined SO strategies as the reasonable strategic option for Dunhuang academy's Dunhuang studies development.The strategic objective is:Attach equal importance to basic research and applied research,to promote the prosperity of Dunhuang studies in the new era,to establish Dunhuang academy into a highland of Dunhuang studies.The strategic tasks are:Construct a complete information resource system of Dunhuang studies,build an open and coordination research base,create a high-quality academic achievement transformation and application model,and Establish an high level research management mechanism etc.
