| In the first half of the 20 th century,Chinese art circles experienced a massive movement of learning from the West.A large number of art circles’ ancestors went abroad to visit and study in major Western art halls,bringing Western art theories and techniques back to China,becoming The backbone of promoting the development of Chinese fine arts.However,under the background of the all-out war of resistance,China’s cultural center was forced to move westward,and people with lofty ideals in the literary and art circles pondered over the major propositions of the times,such as national salvation and survival,and the development of national culture,and advocated that “art should care about the real society and life.” A group of Artists with the mission of art innovation and social service began to focus their eyes and fields on Dunhuang,the treasure house of Chinese culture,and then set off a wave of copying murals in Dunhuang in the art world.This article,by interpreting the relevant newspaper materials,oral and picture materials in the period of the Republic of China,and going back to the historical scene of Dunhuang,narrates and discusses the theme of "copying Dunhuang murals in the period of the Republic of China",trying to explain the activities of Li Dinglong and Zhang Daqian from 1937 to 1949,Zhang Daqian’s team,Guan Shanyue’s team,Wu Zuoren,Han Leran,Northwest Art and Cultural Relics Investigation Group,Dunhuang Research Institute,etc.,copying Dunhuang murals is an artistic creation activity closely related to the background of the times.The relationship between painters,the process of copying works and the number of copied paintings,the analysis of copying mural works,and discussing the relationship between the localization proposition of Dunhuang mural copying.During the period of the Republic of China,the activity of copying Dunhuang murals reexcavated the artistic value of Dunhuang murals and promoted the inheritance and protection of Dunhuang mural art,allowing Chinese people to re-establish the cultural confidence of the Chinese nation.At the same time,driven by these painters,the continuous "Western Art Craze" since the 1940 s made later generations of artists regard Dunhuang as a place for artistic experience and cultivation,and then realized the true sense of the eastern and western regions,The exchange of national culture and art has injected fresh blood into modern and contemporary Chinese art. |
