Sigmund Freud,born in Austria,was a psychiatrist,psychologist,and father of psychoanalysis.Freud's theory of psychoanalysis provides a solid theoretical support for the study of human psychology in contemporary human society.Alfred Hitchcock,born in London,England,is a director,screenwriter,producer and actor.He created a new type of genre film,this kind of film is called "suspense genre film",later generations will be called Hitchcock is father of suspense genre film.Hitchcock film is highly regarded,because in his films have different from other types of films,namely the Hitchcock film in the use of Freud's psychoanalytic theory for its unique in the film "suspense" Settings,Hitchcock film aesthetic style has became a unique existence in the world film history.The main research content of this paper is to illustrate two problems by analyzing the relationship between Freud and Hitchcock's films.The first question is:how did Hitchcock make visual artistic interpretation of freudian psychoanalysis in his films by means of film technology? Second question: how did Hitchcock make use of this visual artistic interpretat ion to create "suspense",and then form the psychological mechanism of the audience to continue to watch the film.This paper is divided into two parts: introduction and text.The introduction part explains three questions,namely,it is divided into three parts: the status of Hitchcock's film research by domestic and foreign scholars,the significance of the topic selection of this paper and the innovation of the topic selection of this paper.In the body part,the freud psychoanalysis theory in Hitchcock's films is expounded in four parts:The first part is the text explains how Hitchcock defines "suspense" in his films,and analyzes the setting and causes of Hitchcock's "suspense view" from the perspective of psychoanalysis.The second section discusses how the four types of "suspense" in Hitchcock's films highlight Freud's psychoanalytic theory.It is because of the characteristics of freudian psychoanalysis that Hitchcock's films have the unique aesthetic charm to attract the audience.The second part is mainly the verification of freudian psychoanalysis in Hitchcock's films.In Hitchcock's films,the visual interpretation of freudianpsychoanalysis theory is very obvious.For example,in Hitchcock's films,the films that explain Freud's "Psycho" include psycho and "Shadow of a Doubt".The films that explain Freud's "dream interpretation theory" include "MARNIE" and "Spellbound".In addition,in Hitchcock's films,there are numerous works that explain Freud's "sexual instinct theory",such as "The birds" and "Notorious",which show the "Oedipus complex".The films that show the "peep theory" are "The Lodger" and“Rear Window”.And the performance of "same-sex love" of the film "Rope" and "Rebecca" and so on.Therefore,some scholars in the contemporary film industry often take the freudian theory of psychoanalysis as the research approach to analyze the "suspense" in Hitchcock's films.The third part is mainly of the text takes "psycho",the most representative work of Hitchcock,as an example to illustrate how Hitchcock USES the film technology he is good at as a means to make a clear and understandable visual interpretation of Freud's esoteric psychoanalysis theory for the audience.Hitchcock promoted the spread of freudian psychoanalysis in human society with the method he was good at.To his credit,Hitchcock did not criticize these mentally ill people from a moral height,but focused on showing the psychological formation mechanism of such people in the film.The fourth part is mainly of the text,from the perspective of freudian psychoanalysis,looks for the contribution and aesthetic significance of Hitchcock's films to contemporary suspense films.This paper makes an in-depth research and discussion on the part of the more wonderful and successful examples of "suspense" set in Hitchcock's films combined with the relevant parts in other contemporary suspense films.Thus,the enlightenment of the application of psychoanalysis in Hitchcock's films to the contemporary era is obtained.For example,in the aspect of plot creation,Hitchcock's films will enable the creators of a large number of local suspense films to know how to increase the competitiveness of their works in the international film market by using the theory of psychoanalysis.Until today,Hitchcock and the unique narrative approach to human psychological mechanism of lively tour,for today's suspense piece of writing is all has an irreplaceable significance,it is Hitchcock this highly personal narrative makes his movie artisticcharm can span the length of time,lasting long.Finally,in the concluding part,the author tries to have a more profound and comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the freudian psychoanalysis theory and the "suspense" setting in Hitchcock's films.Hitchcock used his own film works to explain Freud's psychoanalysis theory in detail for many times.These explanations,on the one hand,can make Freud's psychoanalysis theory better on the social level,so that the audience can understand and accept it.On the other hand,Hitchcock's attention to human psychology in his films makes more audiences pay close attention to and ponder over the rich spiritual world of human beings.This is the reason why Hitchcock's films still have eternal artistic vitality and strong market competitiveness today.
