The civil war is is an important military conflict in American history and has been an important part of the study of American history and American military history.During the civil war,the innovation of military technology,the innovation of military technology,the expansion of combat space and the development of industrial production technology,making war and slaughter become more brutal.As the protagonist of the war,the soldiers faced not only the enemy itself,but also the diseases that accompanied the war.Many soldiers suffer from mental as well as physical ailments.The disease not only caused the problem of non-combat attrition,but also seriously affected the morale,weakened the combat effectiveness of the army,and affected the course and outcome of the war to some extent.Taking the American Civil War as an example,this paper examines the prevalence of various diseases in the army during the civil war,analyzed the causes of the disease,the prevention and treatment measures taken by the government,the army and the soldiers to deal with the disease,and how the disease affected the course and outcome of the American Civil War to reveal the relationship between war and disease and its historical implications.This paper consists of three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.In the first chapter,the author mainly studies examines the prevalence of various diseases in the army during the American Civil War,soldiers suffered not only from physical ailments but also from mental stress,and analyzes the reasons for the high incidence of military diseases,mainly from the environmental factors,social factors and the soldier's personal problems from three angles.In the second chapter,the author mainly studies examines the outbreak of various diseases in the military during the American Civil War that threatened the health of soldiers,and the military experienced a negative morale,which seriously weakened the combat effectiveness and combat effectiveness of soldiers and had a certain impact on the development of the war.In the third chapter examines the prevention and treatment measures against the frequent occurrence of military diseases during the Civil War.This paper mainly analyzes from three aspects: the government,the army and the soldiers' self-care.Theprevention and treatment of diseases reduced the chance of soldiers' illness,saved their lives during the civil war,and it also provides an important reference for the development of American public health after the war.The fourth chapter,through the example of the American Civil War,draws historical thoughts on the relationship between war and disease.
