The Compulsory Education Stage English Curriculum Standards mentioned the specific requirements of English subjects to fully integrate with information technology to achieve the optimization of teaching presentations.As far as English teaching in rural areas concerned,the most convenient and effective way to implement such requirements is to widely use multimedia courseware in English teaching,and use the rich multimedia information presented by multimedia courseware to expand students' English learning track,such as listening,speaking.,reading and writing.Multimedia courseware teaching can well embody and visualize abstract knowledge and the rich multimedia information can make students easily understand some knowledge.In the course of English language teaching,multimedia coursewares play an important role in scenario creation and listening and reading aids etc.At present,for many English teachers,multimedia courseware has become an indispensable and important teaching support means in their teaching.However,for some schools in rural areas,because of the restrictions on consciousness and conditions,which leaded to the relative lag of degree and progress of integration of information technology,there are many problems in the application of multimedia courseware.These problems are particularly obvious in rural areas.This paper conducts a study on the basis of the application of multimedia courseware for rural junior middle school English teachers in X Middle School.Taking the current situation of teachers' multimedia courseware application as a specific object,this paper explores and analyzes the practical problems of teachers' multimedia courseware application from the perspective of rural junior middle school English teachers.48 junior middle school English teachers and their 48 lessons of English courseware from Grade Seven and Grade Eight of X Middle School were studied,and 8 English teachers were interviewed.A survey of the actual situation of the implementation and implementation of multimedia courseware in English teaching in this school was conducted.The main questions of the survey were:(1)What is the application status of multimedia courseware in rural English teaching?(2)What are the problems of rural junior high school English teachers in the application of multimedia courseware(3)How to realize the current situation in the application of multimedia courseware for English teachers and the existing problems to analyze the reasons for the problems.The results of the survey show that the problems are concentrated in the following three aspects: First,at present,there is a relatively single form of courseware production and application among the English teachers in rural junior middle school,and it is rather difficult to product courseware.Second,there are some difficulties in the integration of multimedia courseware and the English subject.Third,teachers lack sufficient effective knowledge and skills training.Based on the local actual situation and the analysis of these problems and causes,the writer proposes three opinions and suggestions:Optimizing the software and hardware conditions of informatization;Deepening the teacher's informatization understanding and focusing on strengthening teacher training and learning;Promoting to present the deep integration of information and teaching content in the courseware.
