During the Tudor dynasty,the "Trinity" of the House of Lords,the House of Commons and the King formed the cornerstone of England's national political system.Mary ? inherited the throne as a woman and initiated a series of highly controversial political and religious policies,which made Mary ? and the parliament show an unprecedented complex relationship.The purpose of this article is to analyze the different relations between the two parties in political affairs,religious affairs and socio-economic affairs,and to explore the character and influence of the relationship between Mary ? and Parliament.This article consists of three parts.The first part is the introduction.Based on the materials that have been collected and read,it sorts out the different views of foreign "Whigs" and " Revisionist " scholars on the relationship between Mary ? and Parliament,and the current status of domestic scholars' research on the history of the Tudor Dynasty.The second part is the main part of the thesis.It discusses the relationship between Mary ? and Parliament from three aspects: political affairs,religious affairs and socio-economic affairs.In political affairs,by exploring the entire process of establishing the queen's rule,marrying with Spain,the treason law of 1555 and the war against France,and related bills,analyze the reasons for the parliament's taming attitude towards kingship and the role and function of parliament in politics.In religious affairs,the parliament supported Mary ? in restoring Catholic faith and cracking down on Protestants,but the parliament and the queen clashed on issues such as the return to the Roman church and the deprivation of Protestants' exile overseas.The different relationship between Mary ? and the parliament on issues related to religious doctrine and churches property reflects the dominant factors relationship between Mary ? and the parliament.In social and economic affairs,due to the outbreak of the Mid-Tudor Crisis,Mary ? and the Parliament actively cooperated for the purpose of improve financial efficiency,developing the economy,and maintaining the stability of the social community.The third part mainly analyzes the nature and influence of the relationship between Mary ? and Parliament.By comparing the number of bills,the content,and the success rates of the two houses,we can see that the "king in parliament" system during this period was still inherited and developed,and the House of Lords still played an important role in the England parliamentary system.By analyzing the important influence of the reign policy of Mary ? on the Elizabethan period,we can see the development trend of the relationship between the monarchy of England and the parliament in modern times.
